Sporemenow, there is no plant editor. Well, it isn't in the game. Maxis said they nixed the plant editor, but they're releasing it and a terrain editor after the game is released as free add-ons.

Just because a planet is "habitable" to one creature, it's not the same for all. I imagine we'd have to live in a bubble if we were forced to create an underwater city. Would you then ask why we were in a bubble because there were fish swimming around outside in a "clearly habitable" enviroment? Lol.... btw the eyeball trees are stupid. I vote them out.

Thats really just in the creature creator so the background is just a simulated enviroment for the background of the editor so don't believe everything you see

Ahaha, such a goofy screenshot. Absolutely love it! Weird that the city is in a dome, while the planet is clearly habitable (as there are creatures standing around outside).

Xredster, i think that was a feature that was shown in the early movies that if you build a city on a planet that's not habitable then you ahve a protective dome over your city and when the planet is stable and habitable it will disapear, but i haven't see or hear of that feature for a long time and was worried that it was removed... i'm glad to see that it could still be in the game! ...i wonder if you can make trees with eyes? they don't talk a lot about the plant editor.
