OGN: Dwarf Fortress
Seeing as the Dwarf Fortress section was created last night, I thought i'd start with this one to give news on. For news on the "Other Games" listed in xSpore, i'll be placing the "OGN" beforehand, which stands for Other Game News.
Now, as for the news itself, Good news! ToadyOne of Bay12 has said he will definetly have the game out this year - giving him two months to do so, even if this requires cutbacks on some of the features he planned to put in this version. The cutbacks will only be temporary, just to get the game out there, then he will release any left-out features next year asap.
Other than that, the Items List is looking pretty green. I highly suggest you tune into his "Dwarf Talks" if you have a couple of hours to spare, I personally listen to it with any games im playing muted, with it playing in the background.

the most successful fortress i ever made started with fire imps killing all but one dwarf, new settlers eventually arriving then the surviving dwarf going insane and killing two settlers and both fire imps before jumping into a lava pool. I'll always remember that... And the fucking cats. It was always fun finding new ways to kill cats.
