Text Message Surgery

Written on: December 7, 2008 by xDreamache

A teenager whose arm was ripped off and was in danger of dieing within a couple days, had his arm fully amputated from a British surgeon who received instructions from a colleague. The doctor who performed the amputation was unfamiliar with the procedure which only a handful of UK doctors are familiar with.  The procedure consisted of 10 steps which were sent via text message and everything went smoothly.

You can find the full story here.

lol, I'm the immature one? And the reason why you haven't seen me on this site is because i barely visit monthly just to see for the news, but if your lucky (no pun intended) someone like Avmf8 may vaguely remember who i am as I'm a semi-oldfag. Apparently I'm selfish. lol

lol, shame if the other doctor ran out of credit or something half way through sending the instructions. And lucky and other people, especially lucky (who should shut up due to annoying me within the first two comments i have read of his fan boy fueled retardedness), calm down, its kinda awesome story, and from what i can tell spore news isn't something common nowadays

His arm was ripped off, but the doctor succesfully amputated? Did they chop off the other arm on accident?

8. xGoodGod - Dec 08, 2008 05:09 PM

10. Obsidian - Dec 08, 2008 05:00 PM

Random-ass unrelated awesome news ftw.

11. lucky711 - Dec 08, 2008 03:57 PM

wat in the world does this have to do with spore! No offence but i really don't care about this! I come on here to be informed and to inform people about spore, not to learn how to put an arm back on a body via text messege! Sorry, but xspore is dieing! Its running out of things to say and idk its dieing, but i will still be on everyday just in case, to tell some news if i have any! :D

Your Alive! But seriously, good job mr doctor, doing an operation smoothly without even seeing it.

13. Blackoutt21 - Dec 08, 2008 02:43 PM

15. apollo_11 - Dec 08, 2008 09:39 AM

And then, out of thy barren wasteland of Spore news, there cometh the news of decapitation.

16. tenshiSLAPZ - Dec 08, 2008 08:11 AM

poor old Spore, if they just released a 3d exporter for the editors its sex appeal would multiply exponentially, well for me anyway. Wishful thinking...

17. Leto85 - Dec 08, 2008 04:12 AM

And if we put text here that have nothing to do with Spore, it will be deleated.

18. sporefreak - Dec 08, 2008 01:28 AM

...Fucking text messages.

19. Papersock - Dec 07, 2008 10:16 PM

It's about attaching limbs, which is something that is done in the game. Yeah..

20. Drazule - Dec 07, 2008 06:57 PM

@duari91 Because there is nothing better to do anymore because we can't speculate about the game anymore.

21. Dr. Kilory - Dec 07, 2008 06:55 PM

22. xDreamache - Dec 07, 2008 06:50 PM

23. duari91 - Dec 07, 2008 06:39 PM
