New Spore Patch with Free Creature Parts!
We have just received an email from Maxis Cactus letting all of the fansite owners know of a new spore patch that's "just around the corner" with 24 new exosekeleten limbs (for free). Here is the paste of the email that we and other fansite owners have received.
"Hey everyone,A new Spore patch is just around the corner!
We’ve heard your requests for more parts, and
we’ll be releasing 24 new exoskeleton limbs for free in this patch!
This includes 12 new arms and 12 new legs to make your creations creep and
crawl along.
We’ve rendered out five high res creatures that use
these parts in case you’d like to post the news on your sites early:

Ugh, free parts are nice, but that'll only make me run the game long enough to update. I couln't give a rat's a$$ about insectile arms and legs.

Raydark, i think the patch is only giving out free legs and arms, no add-ons, i think. thats what it says though?!

It just evades my understanding why there is a parts pack at all. If they can have a parts pack so soon and a free patch with more legs and parts so soon all those parts had to originally be in the game. Besides what good do these free parts do I already can make legs better then anything that is in that patch.

Great!! :D and i agree fully with wat Lad16 said!! i would love for them to just upgrade the game ever like 4 weeks with a couple new parts and addition to new gameplay! I really hope thry do that!! :D

@ Dreamache Righting the wrong would be fixing the gameplay, not giving us more parts. Sure, free parts are nice, but we want gameplay that's more complex than ''hurr durr, go ALL THE WAY to the other side of the galaxy to kill 3 creatures.''. I don't think that's to much to ask for.

I hope that this new patch fixes the things they broke such as the graphics; otherwise I'm just never going to patch my game ever since they never worked on mine nor my friend's computers. I also agree with xNo Name.

i think that, theoretically, they would make more money updating the game with free parts every couple of months than they would selling expansion packs. i know quite a few people who would buy the game if it had more free parts...

What i can't understand is- if they can give us free parts in a patch- then why is there a parts pack for $20? Seriously, like, what the hell?
