Thanks to our own xCrypto for pointing out to us that there is a new Spore video from a keynote speech from Will Wright at the SXSW convention. If my and a lot of other ppl's comments hadn't been deleted, you'd know that thish as been discussed Drphil17. We sort of started a religion VS. Science war, but anyway. I reckon water creatures are still in the game (our deleted posts had lots of debating about this in) but are an early sub phase in the creature bit.

i found this website(http://spore.strategyplanet.gamespy.com/faq.html) and it has loads of answered questions if anyones interested it answers things like that flying creatures will be in the game water creatures might and u can dress them in clothes on the tribal, city, UFO stages

true but if you look at some of the single celled organisms under the microscope, some of them appear to have "eyes" too. That may be the case, but we wont really know until it comes out in Septemberish.

I think you all need to shut up. the religious shouldent even be on here if they dont like it but there used to sticking there noses were they dont belong so no wonder they are checking this out and anyone else should just forget about spore for the time being because its not comeing out for a WHILE. just check the site once a week and get a new hobby or just revolve your life around a different game for a little while.

To Seb; Spore has nothing to do with evolution, the whole thing is completely based on intelligent design, and as previously stated, Will Wright said this himself in more than one interview and at least one video.

Well the thing is noone actually knows what religion is right they may think they do but noone has any idea. And yes it is sick how our parents etc prayed on us when we were young.

WW said himself during an interview that he is a "hardcore evolutionist." Spore is not a demonstration of Intelligent design, WW just thought that it is a little more fun to actually create your own creature then watch it evolve. Spore does play off of evolution a little bit, though. Take, for example, the concept of the survival of the fittest, a VERY common element in the game.

Well that is a good point but the thing is atheists dont have to go to a place every couple days to listen to someone say what they think about a religion, or their parents dont say when they are growing up "hey atheist is the way to go believe in it or you will burn in an eternal pit.".Atheists actually think for themselves.

WW said it himself, Spore is basically a toy for you to learn roughly about all of the stages and effects of life and compress long-term like 10-20 years into a chunk of about 20-30 minutes for you to experience and critically think about our lives and what we are doing to each other and the planet. It also helps us imagine what other forms sentient life could take if it was out in the universe and what to expect the cultures to roughly be like. THAT is what spore is about. A little evolution, a little powers of ten, a whole lot of introspection.

spore is only partly about evolution its about going 2 the molecular stage to the galaxy stage and besides you stop evolving after the second stage will just made the creature editable and then thought it was simalar to evolution and he said he was originaly going 2 call the game sim-universe (not sim-evolution) but he was geting tired of games with sim in them
