I personally liked it and I agree with Gammamutant that it will attract the type of player Spore interests. I showed my 7 year old brother who loves to draw and paint this commercial and he was freaking out about how cool it looks and was asking me for every little bit of information I had.

I think it will attract the type of player Spore would interest. It didn't pack the punch of most game ads I've seen, but the draw of this game is the creativity end. I doubt hard core gamers will like it much. At least from what I've seen. (It looks to me like the best game ever, but I don't like hard core games.)

I agree, the commercial definitely wasn't that great. The visuals were mostly bland. But you can't beat the line "Are 5 eyes really enough?" The answer of course is always "no".

My roommate saw it and just thought it was strange and not very interesting. So the commercial may be appealing to those who know about spore but not those who havent seen it. I quite honestly didn't like the commercial to much. It made me think of viva pinata.
