The Prizes
In this creature design contest, we are giving the top 5 winners, a free copy of Spore via Direct2Drive.com. So yes, there isn't just 1 winner, but 5 winners. And your votes will not count! We (xDreamache and xKarma) will decide all 5 winners.
How to win:
The theme of this contest is to create the all-around most *ultimate* and *usable* creature. We're not looking for any glitchy, unusable crazy stuff that animates poorly. We're looking for expert creature design as used in nature. Use every bit of the creature creator to create the perfect blend and balance of what you envision as being the ultimate creature.
Do not manipulate your creature image in photoshop, it must be downloadable. And you also *must* upload a youtube video and it must be linked. This *can not* be a pre-existing creature, the creation date of this creature can not be any earlier than September 1, 2008.

Also note, winners are not sent a physical copy of the game, it's a digital download provided by Direct2Drive.

Does the rule against using photoshop on the creature image include cropping? I'd like to crop the picture that displays in the contest(not the creature's png).

Guys!!!!, spore came out in autrallia and know spore.com has creatures with some cell parts, unfotrunately you cant dowload them to mess with the new parts ; ;

You guys, australia didn't even get the CC close to the release date. I only got one from the newspaper thing. Idk what the other people were saying but i am saying its always been crap for australians for new tech of any kind cause we are a very small part of the market. I am not complaining about the us not being in the comp, i am just saying don't you dare say we are being selfish. Don't comment like that about a country when you really know nothing of what happens outside your own...

The USA(idk bout Canada) but USA has had NO contest that you are able to win spore!!! I have seen ATLEAST 4 for Euro and 3 or 2 for Aussie that you can win!! robin178: we arnt being racest or whateever you said; let me give you some background information, i know that Xdreamache lives in the U.S. so i don't think he would want to mail (or whatever) the copies all the way to london or austraila. or maybe he just wants to see who would win out of the candians and americans. there can be a ton of reasons. don't jump to conclusions; i hate people that do that! oh and i am proud to be an yanke (american) we made up a song for that whenever the brits would call us that in the revolutionary war. here it is; Yankee Doodle went to town A-riding on a pony Stuck a feather in his hat And called it macaroni. I WAS GOING to order mine in Amazon with the $5 discount for buying the creator, BUT they dont' have any record of that promotion... so I'm just going to the store and purchase on the 7th (early early in the morning) ANYONE else have the same problem with Amazon $5 ??

SPORE IN STORE TODAY IN HOLLAND I don't know where to put the news elsware, but in Holland Spore is already in store! Not the Galactic Edition, but the 'normal' version. So, get the he* in you're UFO and beam it up from Mistery Media. This is no bad joke, i get serious a phonecall today from Mistery Media itself. (X-Spore, if you want: put this news somewhere else where a lot off Dutch people on you're site can read it.)
