WW Interview!
Eurogamer announced that this week will be their "Spore week".
They visited the developement studio, tested the game, and interviewed the developers.
As a beginning, they released an interview with Will Wright.

There are some good questions that weren't asked from him before:
About Religion:
I'd probably be best described as an atheist...
...[at Spore testing] what we had was a good sizeable group of players that we might call
militant atheists, and the rest of the players seemed very tolerant,
including all of the religious players....
...I didn't expect to hit hot buttons on the atheist side as much; I
expected it on the religious side. But so far I've had no critical
feedback at all from anybody who is religious feeling that we were
misrepresenting religion or it was bad to represent religion in the
game. It was really the atheists!"
About a possible Spore MMO:
"That's not to say that one day we might not do a massively-multiplayer
online version of it, but it's just not the most interesting initial
unveiling of it for me."
About his work after Spore:
There are a lot of other
projects waiting in the wings that I've been doing early research on
that when Spore ships I'm going to sit back, take a deep breath, and
look at these projects and consider which ones to dive into.

next week is an ALL NEW creature demo video, then the week after that, an all new tribal demo video and so own through all the stages until spore hits shelves in 25 days! ill be checkin them out andi hope you all do too!!! :D

"Adamdude" i believe that once you enter the space stage the game is no longer an rts and you dont have control over multiple units. atleast that is my understanding, since they have never mentioned the transportation or production of units in the space stage. i hope that answered your questioned

This isn't really related to the news but i have a question. If you are in the space phase and another creature declares war on you then can you transport army men, tanks ect to other planets or do you use your U.F.O. to go and blow up everything? because i mean do get me wrong i like the act of random violence on a computer game but after a while i would like to use units and stuff bisides my U.F.O. Oh and i do know that you can get out of your U.F.O. in the space phase but can you also attack with your creature once you get out???

ok i suppose. i just have not heard anything about gathering in the tribal phase and all they have mentioned as a source of food is eggs from domesticated animals (which a herbivore cant eat) and hunting

"imallears??", im pretty sure that in the tribal phase, if your a herbivore, your tribe will go gather plants and bring it back to your tibe for eating. if your a herbivor you can still kill other creatures but you can't eat them. also don't forget other smaller creatures will try to come and steel your food. im pretty sure that is what herbivors eat and partly do in the tribe stage. i hope i answered your question.

this doesn't really relate to this thread im just posting it here because it is the most recent, but i have been wondering what does a herbivore eat in the tribal phase? because in past videos they have said that the abilities such as health and strength are maintained from the creature to the tribal phase.
