xSpore Gets Invited to Play Spore!
Talk about being blown away after coming across this particular email. Today we got an email from Maxis Cactus with an invitation to the "Spore Community Day" being held August 22 at Maxis Studios in Emeryville, CA. They're also providing roundtrip airfare and a hotel room for one night. And yes, xSpore will be there to represent!
Here's the email

Community Day
We're hosting a Spore Community Day for key North
American members of the Spore Community. Since we can't invite all of
our fans, we'd like to invite a group of Spore fansite owners and staff members
to come out for a visit, get a sneak peek at the game and our studio, and
share their experiences with their own communities. This is also our
way of saying "Thanks" for your contributions to the community
and interest in our project.
At the event you’ll have an opportunity to play the
game before it’s released, meet and interview some of our top
developers, and find out what a day with the makers of Spore is like.
We'll provide roundtrip airfare to Emeryville
and a hotel room for one night.

10:00 AM - 6 PM Friday August 22, 2008

This invitation is for north American residents only.
If you are not in North America, please let me know and I’ll have your
information passed to the community manager for your territory to be considered
for future events.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to substitute another
community member to come in the event that you can’t make it. You
must be 18 years old or older to attend this event.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CANT BELIVE IT!! THIS IS SO UNFAIR! I WANNA PLAY SPORE EARLY!!!!! on top of spore being released when school is in, now we have to put up with the site creators playing spore while we hover around wal-mart collecting school supplies! oh yea RECORD EVERY SINGLE FRAME OF GAMEPLAY OR ILL SUE!!!! Because of a little thing called "debugging" and the fact that it takes a long time to mass produce millions of copies of a game and deploy them to thousands of retail locations across two continents. ;)

i know i'm asking a lot of uestion but also to upload my creature it says nevet to upload, (PNG only!) what is a PNG and how di get one to be able to upload my creature!!?? PLEASE and THAK YOU!

ok, thank you people for helping but no it saying to upload my creature i need to "Right click on the "Download" link in the spore.com sporepedia and save that file to your desktop. This is what you need to upload and is *required*." I see no download link anywhere near my creature! PLEASE HELP ME

According to the development team, they say there are so many 'Easter Eggs' in the game, that it is expected that some of these will only be found up to a year after the game has been released."

Oh, and i saw the opening ceremony too. The best part was the footprint shaped fire works, walking in the sky towards the stadium.
