Spore - The movie
Electronic Arts has just signed a deal with a Hollywood agency to turn some of its games into Movies and Series. Apparently EA is already working on a movie version and animated series of the Sims.
EA's has plans for some of their top-selling franchises such as Army of Two(TM) and Need for
Speed(TM) as well as eagerly awaited new titles such as Dead Space(TM)
and Mirror's Edge(TM).
If Spore does become a huge success like we all think it will be then we might be seeing a movie with our very own creatures as the stars. We will have to wait to see how this deal pans out.

DAMN YOU! I WAS HOPING FOR A RICKROLL! Ugh, who would want to see a Spore movie? How would there be a plot!? Lol, whatever, I wonder where the hell this one'll go.

just cause theres a deal doesnt mean all their games will become movies-.- the sim movie is really really old news. When i heard it im like omg this is stupid.

people talking about the Halo story line, and calling it bad, should read the books. Halo: Fall of Reach, Halo: The Flood, Halo: First Strike and Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. after you read those, the story line will make a lot more sense, and it will be a lot better. the game doesnt fully explain it.

Oh, and xLord of Spore, contrary to my last post, I kind of doubt if a good sims movie could be made, there is just to much of that on the market already.

I agree with lucky711. Yea, the movie could end up being pretty bad, but if you figured out a good storyline it would be possible to make a really good spore movie. And if it does blow out, then there goes a small amount of EA/Associating Companies profit. And I don't think it would leave a huge impression on people on whether or not it was a good movie. JUST HOPE FOR THE BEST

shut up thestorage, halo has a great story line, u just probably run throu everything and dont pay attention to anything, if u read the monitors, and the other things u would notice that it is an amaing story, i bet u didnt even no its a religous war...

i don't understand why all of yu are saying, uhh, i hate Will and EA for doing this and coming up with these stupid ideas! People....LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! Let them do what they want and we will see at the end, how good or bad it really is!! Some sound cool, some sound hard, some sound crazy, but lets just wait a couple of months till we get some footage, news, or screenshots first, then we can state our opinions, no matter how mean they are!!

Making it into a movie would only highlight that fact... Also, despite what the title of the article implies, there are no current plans for a Spore movie.

Also!! I really REALLY hope they are joking about The Sims movie/tvshow.. I really hope they're just rumors.. Sims are people controlled by other people. They do what we tell them to do. We try to make them happy and succeed in life. HOW is this going to be a movie let alone a tv show???? If they're going to make a movie/tv show about some humans living together and doing ordinary day stuff.. Why not call it Desperate House Wives or King Of The Hill. Maybe those are The Sims as well for all we know.

Hey it might not be a stupid idea. You just got to think about all the possibilities about how you can get this into the show. Clever ideas.. I admit though that it would be hard but I can see a Spore Animated Show. I think it'd be cute. As for movies.. I would love to see Mirrors Edge and Dead Space as a movie. Especially Mirrors Edge.

As a movie, Spore would be a bad choice.. in terms of games becoming movies the only good one so far that i've heard of is the new Halo movie which will probably be delayed as much as Spore has been. a game concept for spore is completely and absolutely pointless, because there's no real plot line and i really dont feel like watching little cartoony aliens talking about the latest Glarb Ball game.
