The official Spore site was updated with two new official videos!
The first one shows a bit of every stage, while Will Wright himsel is talking. There are some vey cool scenes, and weird planets.
The second one is about the creature phase. It seems to be sure that there is no blood in the game any more. The grass and other small plants seem to be more realistic than before.

as far as i can tell in the more recent vids, there IS blood. but i imagin that you can turn it off. also i belive that unless you want it to, your creations dont nessesarily have to go on land

i really hope they have at least the option to turn blood on, because a lot of games have that option. it would make it so much more realistic

are the videos laggy for anyone else? it's really frustrating because it'll skip like 5 seconds of commentary or footage every few seconds. making me want to punch my screen pretty badly. any youtube links for the second video or something?

I think the music made the game feel epic whereever they imported from (1. video).

they seem to have taken out the blood to make it Non-Violent but, at one point in the first video you see a monster with like 2-3 spears just sticking out of him, come on the blood would have literally completed it, oh well who knows maybe we can Mod it in.

ok, thanks for the clarifying. I did a review of the videos again (twice). sounds like they didn't say no blood, but that there needs to be an two types of fights for Maxis to be happy--blood and no blood. and yeah, i see the combination of cell and water phase from what the guy said in the video stating a progression in evolving to a land creature which is the ultimate change. Well, will wait for either a direct statement from a spore rep or just wait for the game. Don't know how we could get a direct statement about it though.

As an afterthought: the water phase may have been squished into the creature phase, just once you get evolved enough it pushes you onto land.

Creature demo isn't out *yet.* It's coming in a few weeks (June 17th). No blood: someone somewhere will mod that back in eventually, I'm sure, however they wanted the game to be for Everyone, thus no blood (I'll live with it). No water phase...it's gone. There are Five Phases that made the cut (from an initial 9): Cell, Creature, Civilization, and Space. Water got merged with Cell, I think. I would have loved that phase, but it might come back. Spore: Underwater Civ, heh, where they add back in the ability to be underwater "forever."

Okay, lets see. What's been changed from the older Spore now for a while? I'm finding notes on here that there is a cell phase direct to land phase (no cell - water - land phase anymore), then no more blood, you can start in any phase you want, there may be flying creatures based on the 1:32-34 part of video 2, you cannot have an underwater creature in all phases, and there's a creator demo out (?!?!). Can anyone correct me or clarify this? Is there more I'm missing? Personally the blood out of the game seems to take the real feeling out more and going from cell straight to land phase confuses the evolution idea will talks about in video 1 (like, where's the fish?). ... yeah.. I'll still play spore and love it though *grin*, but what's up with some of these removals/additions now??

What great videos! Thanks Maxis also IGN for Creature editor Final Demo! I like the Will Wright video great interview! I am more hype up for Creature Editor now.
