ASporish: You should have read englishmanjacob's comment before you spoke. He mentioned how buying the CC will raise the price of demos the same way the price of gas rose recently. I was merely explaining how gas and demos are two different types of commodities and don't react to the same economic stimuli. Also, he mentioned "you guys" in england, making me think he is, indeed, from the states.

Confirmed the 17th, I got an email update about my pre-order stating the date had been changed :(

UPDATE: It now says Tuesday June 17th, not the 15th.

I'm thinking this is an incredibly bad move on their part unless they are considering pushing the release date forward. So much of the game is the creature creator. People will be completely bored to death of this by the time the actual game is released. I'm just as excited as the everyone else to see this game launch but I don't think its in the interest of the game to release a large demo like this so far in advance.

indeed. but, it gets the process of ordering out of the way so that you can DOWNLOAD IT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE THE MOMENT IS RELEASED.. for us spore fiends / addicts, speed and timing is an absolutely must. (/end half sarcasm) :P

Is it just me, or is the idea of pre-ordering something you download yourself completely stupid? You pre-order a boxed game because stores only have so many at a time, and you make sure you get one of the first shipment, so you don't have to wait for them to order more. If you are downloading it from a server, then theres an infinite supply, because you're just copying it to your computer. So pre-ordering a download is a waste of time, and just gives them money early for no real gain......

@ Mulligan11 Your argument is null and void, judging by englishmanjacobs usernames, he isn't situarted in the US or Canada right now and so will have no possible way to download the CC upon release, or so it seems. Non-North American Spore fans want to have the CC, we've all been waiting for this. Will Wright said himself Europe is a bigger PC game market than the USA so why are EA not even letting them have the CC? Plus you garbled on about the oil price fiasco which seems utterly unrealated and has nothing to do with Spore and then to make it even worse you plugged a 'Vote Obama' in there to a guy who doesn't even live in the States.

N. America and Canada only. No worries, I'll just use a torrent or something, I'm getting the CC one way or another.

First - absolute yayness at pre-orders! Then I saw it was N. America only - now i've started swearing. I don't care if it's only the demo, I need a fix. And it would've come out just as i finished university too...

how did they find it, becasue when I went in and typed it in search, nothing came up. It didn't even come up when I listed everything. Hmmm?

does the creature creator come for the mac or just the PC?

Well this is sad for me its going be on June 15. I have catch a flight on June 14. I can't play Creature Editor to I come back in July from my Vacation. Well I just have enjoy my vacation to I come back. The server be full of people first day anyways. :-) When I come back it be easy to download. :-)

can't seem to preorder

Marino.. I had no promotional code, not sure what you're talking about. I only ordered the creature creator for $9.95, then there was a little bit of tax. I didn't purchase the download protection. Maybe that's what you're confused about.

I see you got the promotional code due to the price being only $10.60 opposed to $15.94. Do you mind posting it?

I believe they mean download on the 15th.

Also!! On the site, it says to Pre-order it! Does that mean if i do pre-order it that when June 15 coms thy will send it to me?? Or have it ready for download?? im confused with that too!!??!!

YAY finally we have some information!! Thank you xspore.com and the person who found out about this!!!! But i have one question if anyone could answer it for me please! Umm so the one that at the EA store for $9.95, is that the 100% full demo? and it is coming out June 15!? B/c you made it like it was already out lol

@Englishmanjacob: I completely disagree with you. You see, you have two options here: get the demo for free, or buy the stand-alone product. If people do in fact buy $10 stand-alone, it will show EA, as well as others, that releasing a larger amount of content early for a low price will generate more interest in the product. Look at it this way: a demo is usually just a few minutes, maybe an hour or two tops, of gameplay. This creature creator is going to be hours of gameplay. You're getting 1/5 of the product for 1/5 of the price, roughly. I think, though, that you should get a discount on preordering the full box when you buy the CC, but that's another story. Gasoline, on the other hand, is completely different. It's a need, not a want. We can't continue our lifestyle without it. We can't just stop using it, unless we go back to wood heating and candlelight, and we walk everywhere we go. They raised the price of gas, originally, because we thought Iraq had a lot more gasoline than it actually does, so when we went in, we realized we had a crisis on our hands. Once the price went up, the comodities market responded by raising the price per barrel. People began to buy more merely to catch some windfall from soaring prices, driving the price up further. Eventually (hopefuly soon), the people buying the barrels will say it's too high and stop buying, but for that to happen the government needs to instate windfall tax on the oil companies. Obama wants to do that. You should vote for him.

Woo! preorder sexyness!! yah!! Anyway if your going to get the demo, please dont buy the 10 dollar one, this is a test, if you buy the 10 dollar one they will know that your willing to pay for demos then they will start chargeing for all demos and the age of free demos will die. Dont beleve me? look at gas! They jacked up the price of gas (in the us, sorry england you got it bad) because of katrina and the war, then they saw that people kept buying it because we need it, so they jacked it up a little more then a little more, and they said "lets see how much we can milk this so it will keep going up until we say "thats just too damn much" and we stop buying it then they will put it to the maximum we bought it for. I know alot of people will get angry about this but i challange them to bring up some evidence to prove me wrong. and hey you may even change my mind.

June 15th, can't wait! it's looking more and more like Spore will be *the* game for me :)
