probably it'd be fun to turn the humans into pets. OR make a race of ape people and have them take over earth. Those dang dirty apes.

Why would you blow Earth up, it is a pretty planet, I would just blow up the humans!

Spore Will release on September 7 2008 we will See spore on shelves and this is confirmed because this is official. so there shall be no delay that will cripple the spore community.no longer will ea abuse us under the iron boot of dis-pare we are spore and we will not go into the night with out spore.well at least until 9-7-08 so be prepared.put your hat on that says i digg spore and that i will wait for spore until then i will be in cryogenic sleep or until green day said it"wake me up when September ends..."coincidence i think not green day must have bin on this for years. i bet they have a nuck.well anyways expect spore in September 7,2008.the wait is over the question is are you ready for a revolution in gaming will you keep up is the question so shut up and wait.

Will Wright used a debugger to find Earth, so I bet we coudl use one...TEE HEE

I think it would be neat if after they released Spore, they came out with something you could download that would find our solar system in your spore galaxy and show you where it is, for those who don't want to spend their entire lives searching for it

Definitely re-hyped about Spore! Earth as an easter egg? Awesome. Let the abductions begin... Skretch, he did answer the first question. If you terraform mars in your galaxy, it won't change mars in everyone's galaxy, but you will get info from other players. Obviously the guy who asked hasn't heard of this game yet. What's up with the dill-weed complaining about bad physics? Travelling to different stars in seconds isn't realistic? I doubt anyone would wait 100,000 years to get to another system in the game. Bluk0, I agree that it'd be great to see the flora and hut editors more, but I doubt NASA would care about the pretty flowers you can make. At least we got to see more of the UFO editor! Sexi! Maybe he'll do a presentation at the National Botanical Society, or maybe some Anthropology conference! My one question, that still remains unanswered: Will creatures evolve on their own, like in SimLife? If you make a planet with all herbivores, will one of those herbivores develop a taste for the meat of it's brethren? Maybe it'll just download a carnivore to fill the space, but it'd be so much cooler if you just left a species on a planet and came back a few million years later to see what it evolved into. I guess I'll have to wait to find out.

i liek the old GDC 2005 look better then they way it looks on this video! this one looks to square and blah and waresh if u no what i mean, the old one looks more sporesh and fun ifu no what i mean lol!

the reason for the delay was he was pimping out the edditors and game its self like compare the gdc 2005 to this video

Anyone notice how he didn't really fully answer any of the questions? I mean the first one he didn't answer at all. And i still wanna know if i can rip out a creatures thought, have the blood spill on the ground, then drag him away to eat in peace... Ya know, like the GDC video.

lucky711, about the creature editor, I think it looked diferent on this video because he was on his space ship, just look arround and you'll see stars when Will edit his creature. I noticed too that every video out there, the game looked differente, but this is so obvious that i never thought anyone would ask. The game changes when under development, and spore is a loooooong time in development, it's just natural that the game looks diferent now. I also think that Spore looks far more "done" now than before, hope this is a signal that the game is on the way.

wow i just say the vivdeo! i just half way through but its already amazing! but i jut have one question? In alot of the sapore demo videos that WW is playing and showign to people the look of the game it different each and every time! if its the way u color the animal or the way u build it its always different! does anyone know why and if u agree with me just say so?! lol but the video is awsome!

still they showed the same things:l except for a few new bits of things. I see that our solar system is an easter egg haha nice. They still never showed the flora editor or hut editor:( and I dont care if those are not that important, its still part of the game and it could be a disappointment if they dont show it and get opinions on it. But thank god he diint repeat himself like in every other presentations. IE: "We want them to be George Lucas blah blah blah" "It takes a few min to make a creature rather than a pixar animator taking several weeks to create a creature like this" But in the end its still awesome, just wish he got a better camera-.- oh and one more thing: Will I know you want to meet the players expectations. You know what we're expecting? AN EARLY RELEASE DATE

Too bad youtube video quality sucks. There's a new one out there and it's called Blip.TV - There are a ton of reasons why it's better, a *lot* better quality, there's no 10minute or 100mb restrictions on video uploads, etc etc.

Who but good ol' WW would think of direct and instant youtube video uploading. Unfortunatly your probably right about the thousands upon thousands of videos being posted up by 4 to 12 year olds who think "My creature is so cool who wouldn't want to see it eating a plant or small animal for 5 minutes". i predict overload of pointless stupid videos. Yeah, I agree with bored. DIRECT YOUTUBE UPLOADING? I think they might make a "Spore Videos" thing on youtube, they'll want to after they start getting thousands upon thousands of spore videos... -_^

Thanks for the email! :) I lost interest in Spore due to the lack of vids etc, and I got a Ps3 for Christmas. But now I'll put my money in a new video card so I can play Spore when it comes out! :D (I have a S3 ProSavage DDR, which can't play anything at all :p)

As a student of astronomy and digital/experimental art, I really am anxious for the release of the game; but because of my background I'm equally interested in the development. I hope that the NASA Virtual Worlds program is able to develop an academic parallel for Spore. I can't imagine a career that could be any better than sitting around simulating interstellar societies all day. One thing that struck me during this however was the fact that there are no binary or multi-star systems (which comprise most of the systems out there.) I also wonder if there will be any type of science data for stars and planets. Will it list spectral types of stars? Will it display temperatures for certain objects? Will the creature mode feature latitude based celestial spheres in the night sky? Will the planets actually have seasons based on the tilt angle away from the plane of revolution? .....I have a million and one nerd questions.

Omni, highly, highly unlikely.. (about the release date). The earliest I'd say is going to be summer.

Notice will said we want to release the creature editor first. I'm thinking a demo in march and release on april 17-18.
