These things just keep getting pumped out. We heard some crap today about an analyst saying Spore getting delayed to the 2nd half of 2008. I hate to say it, but I told you so. I knew March/April/May wasn't likely, we're looking at late summer I say.. But we'll see, my guess is as good as yours.

I like how spore is coming together, but not the speed at which it (hopefully soon!) is coming. I think spore is under-funded. Not enough people working on getting it out on time. I agree with you Sporetime, espescially the part about the site and the host, but hey, "I'm an idiot and I like pumpkins!" and I'm still here. As I said before, I'll wont believe a release date even if Will say it. I'll only believe in Spore the day it finaly releases, and before that, everything I hear about release date will be considered totaly speculations, no matter how reliabily the source is.

January 29, 2008 - Speaking to the game business site Gamasutra ahead of Electronic Arts' upcoming financial report, Janco analyst Mike Hickey said he expects Spore, Will Wright's oft-delayed mega-game, will not make its expected spring release window. In October, Wright told the BBC to expect Spore to be released in general vicinity of April, a statement in line with previous EA guidance. Today, Hickey predicted that Wright's ambitious sim won't crawl out of the primordial development ooze until the second half of the year. Hickey told Gamasutra that EA's "recent share under-performance (closed at 52 week low yesterday) would suggest a potential shortfall... or guidance gimp," leading him to believe a major product delay may be in the offing. We're not sure what a guidance gimp is, but we've just decided on a name for our first Spore creature. Copied and pasted from IGN. My question is (and of course I am not an "analyst") if they were coming up short in the finance area of some report, wouldn't it make sense to release more product (Spore for example) to make more sales and be at least less short? Maybe I am thinking too much. Maybe,just maybe it will be out before we have a new president.
