Introducing the xSpore Community Grind
That's right, we're going to start a daily xspore community "news" / "article" / "piece" / "blog", call it whatever you want. What is the purpose? We've been pre-release for over 2 years, news doesn't come in so frequently - and I want this front page to be updated with content more often. Plus, maybe it'll make our non-forum participating traffic more interested to become a part of the forum.. Will it work? I don't know, I don't really care but at least it's something unique. It will be more for its comedic value than anything else, so hopefully it will become something that makes you want to visit the site daily to check out the craziness.
What exactly will the xspore community grind feature in terms of content? The most notable activity on our forums, of course. Whether it be from the xspore chat room, or from actual threads / posts - it will be about our community. And then we will also feature a quote from someone famous, regarding Spore. That's right, we here at xSpore have amazing connections with the celebrity world, and we will be providing direct quotes from the people that everyone knows.
The first official xspore community grind will be featured tonight. Oh and to the people that don't like this idea. Too bad.

Also someone mentioned the issue that real spore news would get buried too quickly. So what I did was increase the amount of news displayed on the home page from 5, to 10.

Oh is that what you say BigBoiMikey? Well I think what you say sucks and doesn't make sense. We get a lot of forum activity here, it's relevant to the site and to post on it. Besides, it will be very easy to discern the community grind from actual spore related news. It will have its own icon (the one that was used to post this news piece), and the title will be denoted by "Daily Grind: ....", so if you don't like it, just don't read it and everyone will be happy. Thanks.

I visit this website everyday and am quite annoyed with the lack of daily updates for the release of Spore. But i don't like the idea of having news everyday that is irrelevant to Spore. Keep it Spore related or don't post it I say.
