Don't tell me that was the info they promised. That told me nothing new how can anyone say there was useful info in that video. There was nothing new I have not heard in the past 2 years I have known and been looking up info ion this game. Saying it is going to be on a mac is not news to me either. They said multiple platforms a long time ago Mac is just another platform. Even if I end up getting a Mac laptop for surfing it won't be able to run this game so it is not helpful info to me. Also they promise a release date and don't deliver why am I not surprised? As another poster said I won't even believe a release date even if it comes out of the mouth of Will himself. After all Will did say it would be out in 2007. Well 2007 came and went and guess what no spore.

lucky711, I think you're lucky because probabilly you hear of spore yesterday. Well, I'm pretty sure that you can find more people here that heard of this game back on 2004, now whats year whe are? 2008? wow, that freaking da delay we have here... if you believe in Wright, e bet you believe in Santa Claus...

Actually its not lucky711, Will Wright has said numerous times its coming out in '07. Don't think thats happened quite yet.

well thats just so stupid to say that u wouldn't believe the fricken creator of the game! u have to no the released date FIRST to get the game in ur hands duhh!!

People, please, stop believing on ANY release date about spore you see anyware... they're totally speculations, no one knows when it will be released. Amazon.com, *insert any pre-order site here, the one this guy below me showed, xspore, ANY, they're totally speculations. I would not believe even if Wright himself said "oh, spore will be release next week". I will only believe that spore will ever be released when I get one copy at my own hands.

Can someone please remind me on WHY this whole site thinks a Spore release date will be announced? All I know what that mid to late Jan we'd be getting new info. Nothing on an actual release date. Also I kinda don't like how you can skip everything even though it's still optional.

My favorite aspect of Spore is the starting simple and then evolving. So I will definitely play through the stages.

Ahh you guys. What you need to realize is that you can still go through every stage if you wish. Other plays may just want the space stage or whatever, let 'em have it their way. Play it your own way.

Why are you guys complaining about the stage jumping? Spore is a game, its meant to be fun. If someone thinks one phase is funner than another, they can go staight there. If you think its funner to do all of them, go for it. :/

u guys are stupid, u can either start off from the begining and go through all stages or just jump through the stages wats so fricken bad its still the same game!! u should be gald u got any word of spore anyway

Jumping into any phase..... <.<; This could be abused waaayy to easily....

What the hell. So right when you start the game you directly get to go to space phase? Why even bother with city/civilization? I'm disappointed...

I think the "jump in and out" aproach is a good thing if you don't want to use it you don't have to, but if your a VERY novice player and you can't get past the first stage that makes it a lot more fun and opens more doors to more players.

As Andy said. It sounds poor now. Before, you unlocked editors as needed, then could jump into any phase if you evolved into them... then fact you could start in space phase...saddens me, to say the least.

The interview sounds like the game as lost a lot of structure of playing through the stages for a jump in and out approach into any stage.

dammit! I would have been the first if my stupid thing would have never lagged!!! well anyway, no release date! well at least this news means spore is getting closer ^_^
