Spore for Mac in 2008
In an article released today from news.com, EA will show Spore running with Macs at the Macworld Expo which is currently being held. It will release for Macs at the same time it does PC. So how about that? It's January 15th, marking the official beginning of the *middle* of the month - which is great because our friend April Jones mentioned we will begin seeing an influx of news from "mid-to-late January". Good stuff, I say.

I do believe they were shooting to release a "demo" of some sort by the end of January, and by demo I mean a version of the Spore Editor. Rumors are, that EA wanted to pre-release the editor before the game, or an actual demo not only to start up the hype train again, but to actually "recruit" a couple free employees. The plan was to use this "demo" to have the general public populate their servers with creatures before launch, at no cost to them. This way, EA will get human created content for free, and the community feels like they are getting a free demo of what Spore will be able to do. Thats what I hear at least, but i cant help but wonder if their AI driven procedurally created creatures are not turning out how they expected, forcing them to need actual human created creatures..

listen to what a guy said to the cameraman near the end of the video. He said to the cameraman, "You can film everything except Spore". The video ended because of that f*cking guy!

I saw the news earlier today but im soooooo excited. I was sitting in my desk hopping up and down with excitement. I trust that we'll know a release date by the end of January. SOON WE WILL ALL HAVE SPORE!! yay :)
