EA / Maxis have responded!
Ok this news piece isn't a joke like the one beneath it. :) But 2 news pieces ago xKarma posted a news piece stating how EA doesn't care about the xSpore/the spore community in general etc.. etc.. (he was being emo I think). You can read that article here. Well I received an email from April Jones at EA. Here is the email exactly as I received it...
"Hi Xspore.com!
We have heard the cries of your people and wish to respond to their enthusiasm
with a flood of detailed information and assets about Spore! But alas…it
can not yet be so L.
I have just been hired to lead the PR efforts for Spore and soon we’ll
have a community manager who will specifically be helping to keep Xspore and
the other fan sites in the loop as well. We have been keeping a bit to
ourselves lately as we’ve been getting ready for launch, nailing down
plans, and putting everything in order for the information to start flowing
again in mid-to-late January. Around that timeframe we’ll be able to
confirm a release date and to start answering all of your burning questions with
solid information.
We were all very sorry to hear that you felt EA was specifically withholding
information from Xspore and I can assure you that is not the case. In fact,
we’d be happy to add you to our list of fan sites so you can receive
information about the game when we start sending stuff out. From what we can
see, we don’t have a contact person for your site and this webmaster
email for TehNetwork is the only contact I could find, which is probably why
you felt in the dark. Please let me know a contact name, email address, etc. so
we can include Xspore in our future community communication.
Stick with us…the light is at the end of the tunnel!
PS: For those wondering, it was the
fact that *most* of the emails we
got were so nice that sparked our attention J. We
appreciated that a lot!

What a load this was solid info my ass again all they gave was some stupid video just saying it is for mac and that you can jump between phasses and that is all they said. Again all they said was sometime this year. Waited this long for the info they promissed and they gave nothing.
