Asymmetry Modification
Don't you hate it when you go to create a
creature, and everything is mirrored unless you place it down the
center of a creature? Well this modification fixes that. Now you can
create 100% true asymmetrical creatures *and* it works in all of the
other editors.
The modification was found at spore.vg (There are a couple of other modifications there as well).
1. Download the asymmetry mod here. (We've hosted it here in order not to run up Rick's bandwidth!)
2.
Place the file inside of your Data directory found in the Spore
installation directory. You will see other .package files there, that's
where this goes.
3. You're done!

Never mind; I posted in anger. For anyone who didn't realize it (like me), look in your compatibility folder thingy. By the power of Greyskull, I'm an idiot! LOL.

My only problem with this mod is that I can't find the dan file to take it out! I have scoured my data folder, and it isn't there; I run Vista, if that helps, and I have enabled it o let me see hidden files. Where the hell is it? >:(|

Assymetrical creatures can not be posted on the spore server because they violate the symmetrical algorithm. That's why your creature was removed. I suggest this mdo in combination with the in game infinite parts mod for total freedom, also the tranparency coloring mod is good in combination with the mod that makes painting creatures similar to painting vehicles & building... (though i can't remember the name of the mods...)

How do I see the rest of the mods? I only see this Asymmetry Mod when I click on Spore mods and cannot see the rest of them.
10. Kovak - Oct 11, 2008 07:15 PM
The only thing i don't like about it is that if you DO want to make PART of the creature symmetrical, it costs twice as much :-(.

When editing in the mod youare not restricted by the complexity level, but the complexity restriction is actually still there. So, if your creature is too detailed you can't share it. You can tell if your creature is too complex when you go to your in game sporepedia and if you see a red complexity icon in the corner of the thumbnail you've passed the limit and need to simplify it.

15. jpark021 - Oct 01, 2008 11:59 AM
Could I ask how I see addition mods except just only this one?
16. TheAcklay - Sep 27, 2008 04:35 PM
that could possibly be the problem but I just done a search for one of the other .package files(Spore_Game.package) and I only got one result which was the location the mod's .package file is in, could someone possibly give the name of another file that's located in the same spot as I should put the file so I can at least find the spot in my computer?
17. Grimbot - Sep 27, 2008 11:32 AM
There are several locales with .package files. Make sure you're putting it in the right folder. That was my problem. ;p

This mod along with other mods don't seem to work for me, is it because of the patch or is it something I'm doing wrong because I followed the somewhat brief instructions and put the file where it should go.
19. xSkell - Sep 26, 2008 01:07 PM
Lt Commander Chris: Yes it does apply to the other editors as well!
20. Lt Commander Chris - Sep 26, 2008 12:18 PM
Does this apply or can this also be applied to vehicles, buildings and ships? If not please can someone consider making one :P

Nice :)
22. Grimbot - Sep 23, 2008 06:12 PM
Never mind my previous comment. I screwed up. Nothing to do with the mod, which is TOTALLY AWESOME.
23. Grimbot - Sep 22, 2008 11:30 PM
I love this mod but it's "on" even after I delete the .package file now. Any idea how I can disable it?
24. smartypantsp - Sep 21, 2008 08:38 PM
