Space traits and what they do.

Alright, there are allot of traits in the space stage. Some are more helpful then others!!

Warrior- Raider Rally, Makes pirates attack the planet you are on.

Knight- Power makes a mini-ufo to join your fleet.

Trader- It automatically buys out every system you have a trade route with, useful.

Ecologist - Safari Vacuum, Copies creatures off a planet in great amount, great for Terra-forming.

Diplomat- Static Cling, disables all enemy turrets and spaceships that belong to your enemy.

Zealot!! This one is very useful. Automatically converts every one of the cities on the planet your on to you. Great on a Home world.

Scientist!!!!! my favorite, destroys every city on the planet you use it on!!

Wanderer, nothing.

Thanks

In space every civilization has a philosophy, such as Warrior or Scientist and whatnot. Your starting philosophy depends on what you were in previous phases. (you start as Wanderer, which grants no powers, if you start the game in space)

You can switch by doing special missions for species with the desired philosophy.

Another trait:

Shaman - gives you 'Return Ticket' which automatically jumps you back to your homeworld.

You can change your trait by taking missions from a race with the trait you want. Eventually there should be a mission to get the trait, but from what I understand it requires a good chunk of money as well.

Something we came up with at the official forums:

Philosophy is a summarization of the traits you receive in the previous four phases. Each trait you earn is a color, and the philosophy you have is based on the number of each color you have. It doesn't matter what order you earn the colors with.

Red - Carnivore, Predator, Aggressive, Military
Blue - Omnivore, Adaptable, Industrious, Economic
Green - Herbivore, Social, Friendly, Religious

2 Red 2 Blue 0 Green - Scientist - Gravity Wave
2 Red 0 Blue 2 Green - Zealot - Fanatic Frenzy
0 Red 2 Blue 2 Green - Diplomat - Static Cling

2 Red 1 Blue 1 Green - Knight - Summon Mini- U
1 Red 2 Blue 1 Green - Bard - Soothing Song
1 Red 1 Blue 2 Green - Ecologist - Safari Vacuum

3 or 4 Red - Warrior - Raider Rally
3 or 4 Blue - Trader - Cash Infusion
3 or 4 Green - Shaman - Return Ticket

none - Wanderer - none

source: EA Forums: Philosophies (possible spoiler) ...

*Note, additionally, it's possible to change your philosophy. After a while as in an alliance, your ally will be willing to give you a mission to change your philosophy to that of its. However, it costs quite high (1m-10m) and involves a rather long mission.

Scientist

I actually really hate scientist, the gravitation wave just makes it so you have to rebuild everything on the planet when you conquer the system.

walkthrough

Alright, this is how you know you choose omnivore: First, in every stage except space age you can click on a "your evolution history" in the bottom right corner. In the history at the far right it shows where you are according to carn/omni/herbivore. If you are leaning towards carnivore/aggressive, switch to herbivore/peacefull until you are in omnivore again. Check history often and make decisions accordingly and SAVE before you evolve, as the "evolve button" replaces history until evolution. If you are a carn/herbivore and not a omnivore after you evolve, load and play opposite for a bit and try again, however that does not work in tribal stage. Sorry if this post is too long.
