Spore

I was thinking after looking at all the different contests for all the different months and found the setup quite confusing. Then an idea came. What if we moved the different entries (and winners) over to the xwiki. Then all the different wallpapers could be together on a single page and organized easily and correctly. There could also be a Hall of Fame, on the wiki rating the top 3 or 10 (whatever number) with their own page. Just a suggestion that i thought would make it easier rather than going through the many different threads...

Not a bad idea, and I agree, the current setup isn't very ideal. But we've held off on improving the system since we're almost finished developing an entirely new content management system for our sites (xspore included). What this new system will allow users to do, as a part of the profile system, is upload different types of content (videos, wallpapers, photos, and screenshots). Wallpapers will be uploaded through a form in your profile system and you can enter them into the monthly contests. There will be a specific page for viewing and browsing wallpapers, including sorting the results by entries that won.
