Not really advertising for the site, but for our new wallpapers. We have been working on them for a little while. We planned on promoting them on several sites. XSpore is one of those sites. Everyone can enjoy them.

Yeah, my sig has the site in it, that's how I advertise it. I didn't post, "Hey everybody go to hookedonspore.com and start posting and stay there.(oh and we have wallpapers too)" I just wanted to let everyone see the new Wallpapers we made. I don't advertise for our site directly, because I wouldn't appreciate someone doing it on ours. But, the fact is, we have them there not here, so I have to have a link to the site and I told them directly how to get to the wallpapers. I only shared our content with the members of this site. So just check them out and don't complain. So, Don't judge so quickly. It's insulting.

Sorry but we don't allow the direct advertising of other spore related sites in signatures. We've also edited the link on your initial post to point directly to your wallpapers page instead of your home page. It's fine to post links like that as long as they're to the specific documents in which the post was directed towards, and not just the home page.

Our site doesn't allow direct links for some reason. So, you always go to the home page. Sorry if this broke the rules. Didn't think telling people about our wallpapers did. Oh well. But, the sig thing kind of pisses me off but I will let it go. No reason to complain. Nothing I can do. Am allowed to at least put the site name in my sig?

Your site does allow direct links if you link it correctly, just look at the link we edited in your initial post.

Also, you starting this thread notifying people about your wallpapers wasn't exactly the issue that bothered us. It was the blatant advertisement of your competing site in your signature. That's something that any forum webmaster who knows what he is doing, doesn't allow. If you want more spore targeted visitors, I suggest you learn what SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is.

Can I least put the site name in my sig? I mean that really doesn't seem too bad. If the sig was the problem i would have changed it. You could have said that. I have no problem with changing it. I thought you meant that I can't post links to info on any other site.
