Spore

Whenever I save my planet, I can't access it from the galaxy!

It just "disappears" and I can't play that planet, it only offers "New Game" again!

Everything I do is saved to my sporepedia (like my creatures on that planet upload, and I can play them again without a glitch).

I love spore, but hate my glitch.

Any help would be much appreciated!

P.S: I'm a bit of a computer geek, so any complex computer instructions will be followed.

check %appdata%/spore/games/game0 for save game data.

not sure if this is the only location of spore game data, but my saved stars are all listed here.

if this directory does not exist, create it and try again.
also have you changed any path or variable for user profile settings.

@bmoxey: have you tried hitting ctrl and shift at the same time to get your /'s back?

Be careful, you can only install the game 3 times off the DVD before having to have a fit at EA to get another install! Well i believe that's the case tell me if its not.

Sorry i can't help at all with your saving problem tho. Guess you will just have to play right through each time until you fix it lol.

Seriously? Has EA felt the need to go to that extreme? I bought the dang game, I can do what I want with it, including reinstalling every five minutes if I want to. That really perturbs me.

Seems like they don't want to load, so I'll just re-install it tomorrow.

Meh SecuROM is easily cracked.....which if you've brought the game is NOT illegal.
