Spore

it's a great game (ignoring the occasional crashes and the DRM issues), however does anyone else feel it's just a little too easy to advance to the next stage of the game?
what i mean is just as i'm settling down to the gameplay of creature, i've reached the point where i can unlock tribe, same with tribe, etc.

i know you don't have to advance a stage till you choose to, but i still feel sorta rushed by the game reminding me i can do it, and the fact that i've achieved it already nags at me.
generally in cell i only get 2-3 generations before it says hit the beach, and at creature i'm filling the bar in about 3-4 generations. what i'd prefer is if the creature phase was long enough to accomadate say 5-8 generations without having to use the mate button every 2 minutes.

(note that this is based on playing on normal, not easy)

It actually makes a lot of sense, face it, would you like to play through HL2 back to back 5 times (assuming you've played HL2)? Of course not. You just might be able to get through it with spore.

perhaps, but i don't feel like i'm getting a full chance to play the early phases.

even tribal was pretty quick once i got the hang of the interface.
just wish to play the stages for a lil longer before the "advance to next stage" starts looming over me.

oh, and i've not played the game on easy, only normal and hard

Every time you do them things will play out differently, and there will always be different content and terrain to make it interesting. The point is do this many times, it's like The Sims or Sim City, no one has just one game.
