Would you be able to make galactic charts, like name a specific cluster of stars like: Cluster ABC, or Constellation XYZ. Or name specific parts of the Galaxy like: Galactic Core: DEF, or Galactic Spiral KLM. Or names of planets like: Planet LMN.

I doubt it, the game will probably automatically name them...

I do wonder though, will there be any kind of 2d "map" of the galaxy? Or is it all just pixel-searching for stars and planets? Surely there will be some kind of "bookmark" for every planet you've explored, but I'll still probably just get lost in the clutters of stars.

Making a Star chart would be awesome. I wonder if you see that stars as the actually are when you are on the planet looking at the night sky, you could make up constellations, thats would be fun, Sporepedia is one of my favorite things in the game, i cant wait to get a long list of planets and stars.

I believe when you look up at the night sky the planets, and stars appear just as they would look if you flew right next to them.

I bet the game names the planets and other things based on what the player who made them named them. That said it wouldn't be hard to add a renaming function.
