edit: maxis comfims also! details on spore.com, comes with 100 new parts, 2 new backrounds for creature creator, 12 new paint options. can work with the 10 $ creature creator, and they annoced a real expanshion for space, will allow you to exit spaceship, and make missions. should come out in spring of 09.

Absolutely pathetic in my opinion, EA has already begun merchandising Spore and trying to steal away every penny they can. I'm disappointed, and yet I think we can all say this was inevitable from the start.

How many parts does it come with? I'll probably end up getting this, as all of my time is spent in Spore's creators. That and the fact that that mouth is f***ing badass.

It's cool and all, but I agree that $20 is too damn much, I mean the full CC wasn't even $20. This is just a few extra parts...

I don't really care about money though so I'll probably get it.

We got a whole creature creator for $10, so why would we buy a couple of parts for $20

It could be worth it, but only if they pretty much double the amount of parts.

Basically it's kind of silly to say the expansion is a rip-off before we even know what's going to be included in it.

Bet you it's no more than 40 parts (20 creepy, 20 cute). I'm almost willing to bet it's HALF that.

we just need the holiday parts packs now.

well the fact is there's enough people out there with no money sense like dragon.

personally i don't think it's THAT worth it. if i was THAT into creating creatures i'd learn to use a CAD package.
don't get me wrong though, i do use and love using the creators a lot.
it's just, i've still not used many of the parts already available...

anyway, wait a year or two and you'll be able to get the 1st 2-3 expansions all in one pack for like $20-25. (if you really need that)

personally, i'm ashamed but not surprised at EA - they are feeding off human nature to collect (and complete the collection) things. it's a good marketing technique, albeit, a pretty nasty one when abused like this.

also, it's interesting how they are releasing content aimed towards existing customers, rather than new customers... sorta a 180 from what WW has been saying all this time about expanding horizonatally rather than vertically.
(and yet it still doesn't actually give the game any more depth lol)
