Bubble Trees:

Along the roots up onto the body of the creature, grow a glucose combo storages surrounding the base. If they become attacked by some reason, have a spore cloud expell out of the startch storage centers. Be it a crude method of pollenation to spread the creatures spiecies much better.
Added another caste of Bubble Convulies also. These are purely grow with helium which make them float even better. The Extra Convulies then expand in two different directions. A, they extend off of the centeral body to collect extra sunlight and take in CO2. The other Convulies layer on top of each otherto strengthen the bodies so that they dont blow away.

Im kinda lazy with upgrading for this game so this might be my only idea this time.
