Dunno, but I believe it was discussed on G4 to that a fansite quoted the date off of amazon, when another store had a different release date.

Wasnt it already said it wasnt an official date ? or no, i dunno i guess.

Gamespot has a Q2 2008 release date on their site. About all the release dates around that tmie and amazon saying that the release date they had on their site was only to give people an idea when it will come out. We're probably looking at a March, April or May release date... I hope

theres an explanation on amazon.com that says that their dates come directly from the publishing company.
This is paraphrased to control the length....

"Release Date: An industry term that refers to the date the product is available from the Publishing Company.....Publishers will provide Amazon.com changes to a product's release date that will be reflected on the web site."

i think they could be right on the date, but im a newbie, so who knows, i could be wrong.....any comments?

yep...the PR manager said there was no definite release date yet...but u can never trust those guys they r always hiding sumthing
