I think that both of these games look amazing and I will be investing my money in both of them.

I would say that I was more excited about playing Fable 2 at this moment in time as I enjoyed Fable and didn't find it to be a let down at all as some other people have said. I have never played a Fallout game before so maybe that is also why I am not as excited, as I have a lack of experience with the game, but I have been reading up on Fallout 3 and am looking forewards to playing it.

The multiplayer element of Fable 2 though is also a very appealing part to the game as I enjoy 2 player games that I can play with my brother and we can do this over XBox Live easily and on different consoles for added freedom.

Some people have commented on the free-will element of Fable 2 but this will not be that major as it is basically a one or the other decision not multiple choice options (like in KOTOR or Mass Effect) where you will be helping people or destroying them in the quests, which will lead to you becoming good or evil as in Fable 1.

I'm really excited about how morality will be handled in Fable. Based on some of the interviews it really looks like they are putting some thought into the morality system, and it seems like they want to elicit emotional responses from the players through their choices. To me this is a lot more intriguing than the typical "being good means you get discounts/free stuff and being evil means you can kill everyone in amusing ways" you see in most RPGs.

So yeah, I guess I was kind of implying the question "which do you think will be better?".
The world and the humour of Fallout are much more important to me than new features. Whatevers, I have the special editions of both Fable 2 and Fallout 3 pre-ordered, so me happy.

Both games

its plain to see that both games have similar characteristics (long word for me that) like its good and evil and maybe other features like leveling up and stuff, but I think the real thing thats gonna make one game better than the rest is the story, how its played out, how it links to existing stories, coz lets face it besides that, the time period and the graphics, everything is near the same, right down to the fact you grow from a kid to an adult

The time periods, and many other things, aren't that alike about the games.

For one, in Fable II the time period and technology is near a Colonial type of thing, while Fallout III is a post-apocalyptic type of setting with current to future-like technology.

ops. forgot about that one, but besides time period, as well there are many key characteristics that are similar, but i think the time period could effect the audience, some people prefer good old fashioned shnizle to post-apocalyptic, but i love the future and all that stuff so im all for Fallout 3
