Release: Certain Capture

As you know when capturing a star system by using force there is a slight chance of destroying a colony in the process (20% to be specific). And you can never capture outposts. AFAIK outposts are colonies placed on T0 planets (100% chance of destruction). These mods will alter your chance of capturing a colony.

This one will give 100% chance of capturing both colonies and outposts.

zSHARE - certaincapture.package

Code:
Filename: SP-PROP-00B1B104-0568DE14-4E5855B9.prop -old values- spaceDestroyOnCaptureChance float 0.2 #20% chance of destroying colonies spaceOutpostDestroyOnCaptureChance float 1 #100% chance of destroying outposts -new ones- spaceDestroyOnCaptureChance float 0 spaceOutpostDestroyOnCaptureChance float 0

This one will give you 95% chance for capturing both colonies and outposts.

zSHARE - certaincapture_95_.package

This one will only increase your chance of capturing outposts to 80% (equal chance for both)

zSHARE - certaincapture_80_.package

Feedbacks will be appreciated.

Good job man, really I think this is an excellent idea, I hate it when I go to capture a T0 and it blows up. Very good.

DO you still have to damage it a certain amount to capture it? If that's so, great.

You still have to attack a colony if that's what you are asking. Shoot with your weapons until it raises its white flag for surrender. But sometimes it gets destroyed before surrender and this mod aims to change its chances of destruction. 100% means it will never get destroyed, and will always give in.

It's the same as the game was before, except you never have cities randomly blow up before giving you a chance to take 'em. So that means you could still be in for quite a fight, it just won't be for nothing.

Also, excellent mod, many thanks.

Thanks for the mirrors lazor. And thanks for teh compliments everyone. I know this is very small (just a few variable changes that's all). But it annoyed me to see that forcing colonies to give in was based on chance. If I wanted to try my chance, I would have played poker instead. I'm also sharing the info on how to make such thing so anyone can include this idea into their mod without loosing time with searches.
