The Great Forge Ship Khar Tannis emerged from the rift amidst a storm of rock, earth, and steel. Grekken ships, both working and destroyed, streamed around the Tannis' docking bays, smaller corvettes darting in and out between the larger frigates and carriers doing their best to avoid the deadly debris and wreckage from the warp. Emergency Comm channels sounded with confused chatter as the Denizens of the Great Forge tried to make sense of what had happened. Among the chaos, a Grekken carrier lost control of its engines after suffering impacts from a cloud of meteorites, and the hulking ship hurtled into the hull of the Tannis, fracturing into bits as it collided with the unforgiving metal. Several other ships followed suite, though most were successful in avoiding absolute catastrophe through out the fleet.

Adatas Marx picked himself up from the floor of Tannis' Bridge, his comm link beeping on his collar and several crew members shouting for a sit rep from the Grekken ships milling about around the Forge's hull.

"Get Tandus and Gresicht to the Bridge NOW!" he barked, his normally pale face a mixture of exotic reds and purples.
He flinched as a well-manicured hand latched onto his arm, and he found himself staring into the face of his Chief Financial Adviser and friend.

"Are you unharmed, Adatas?" she asked, handing him a datapad with numbers and messages streaming across the screen as quickly as the ships outside could send them, "The Forge is in anarchy. I caught Gresicht on the way here. He asked me to tell you he can't join our party at the moment. Apparently one of the cruisers in the berth crashed into the docking bay doors as it launched."

"Just great!" the CEO snapped. "I don't suppose you have any idea what just happened?!"

"Not yet, no. I've been trying to get a hold of the science division, but so far all I've been able to get is an answering machine stating that they're busy."

"Fuck!" he cursed, rather uncharacteristically for someone of his nature. "Message every Grekken ship outside and tell them to line up for emergency docking procedures. Make sure to let them know that we have everything under control. We can't afford to let anyone panic right now. Also, tell Gresicht that he has 5 hours before I want him, you, and the entire research division in my board room for a god damned explanation as to why we just flew through a fucking planet!"

"Already on it, sir. I'll see you in five hours." she muttered taking the datapad back from him and tapping various buttons and indicators as she boarded the grav lift connecting the bridge to the main body of Tannis and began her descent down to the communications relays.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Four hours and thirty minutes later, the Lead Manager of the Research division was brought to Captain Adatas' board room. A stark, economical room with a massively long table that stretched from one wall to the other, it was filled with the other members of R&D, along with several of the ships lead engineers and the various members of the Merchants' Council. Adatas sat at the head of the table staring absent-mindedly at Chief Engineer Gresicht, seated to his right, and wondered if he had dyed his beard or if it was naturally that shade of bright orange. Sensing all eyes in the room staring at him, he snapped back to his senses and glared at the Research Division's manager.
"Glad you could join us, my good man." he stated in a voice devoid of emotion. "We were all wondering if you could perhaps tell us just what happened to our ship."

The man stammered and eyed the floor pensively before speaking in earnest.
"I-it's really quite remarkable, really.... We-... We think we may have just drifted into another dimension. The radiation that struck the galaxy was able to tear holes in the fabric of reality. At first we thought perhaps it had been a hyperspace gate accident, but after some investigation, it doesn't appear we were engaging in any experiments with the gate technology when the rift opened up. It looks like most of the planet came with us through the rift, but-"
He paused to swallow nervously and unclench his hands from his lab suit.
"-we don't think we can get back. We're not sure the precise physics of it, but my boys have assured me that this is the best...Ah...Theory, as to what happened."

The CEO of Khar Toba bore down on him, his eyes like daggers, until he found the words he was looking for.
"What you are telling me is that we have just fallen through the fabric of reality, and we can't get back?" he asked incredulously.
The scientist responded with a sad sigh, "Ah...Essentially, yes."

The room remained quiet for a moment as the impact of the situation sunk in.
"Do we at least know where we are now?" Gresicht broke the silence.

"No, not really. There are absolutely no apparent points of reference," the Chief Navigator responded. "We're in uncharted territory at this point."

Adatas tuned out the muttering of the board members at the statement and answered a call from the Bridge.
"Sir, we've detected multiple contacts around the planet three hundred thousand kilometers to the north-" the speakers in the room crackled to life as he switched to broadcast mode, "-and it looks like they're as confused as we are. It looks like several of their ships have been damaged. We're going to need you on the bridge immediately."

The CEO answered with the most calm and collected voice he could muster. "I'm on my way. Tell engineering to double check the engines, and aim us towards the planet. Launch 18 of the new Observation Cruisers the Grekken commissioned so they can watch the planet pieces here. We're going to leave some of them here in case there are any hostilities. Open up all comm channels and get the translators ready for some work. I think we may have some new customers."

As he closed the comm link and ran beside the table to the exit, the other members of the board began swarming around the other portals to the room, eager to get to their stations. He gripped the transit rail aimed towards the Bridge, grinning with satisfaction as a thunderous roar of voices traveled through the Great Forge, as the Hyu-Khar prepared themselves for a new encounter.

Looking out from the Galactic Battleship's bridge, he monitored how well most of the ships could recover from the chaos, he received multiple sitreps from the ships that were able to give them. The remaining ships, the ones the most badly damaged postponed their sitrep until the situation was cleared up.

Groups of medium sized ships gathered around collisioned ships, using their Tractor beams to get them out of harms way and bring them to a safer place where they can undergo bigger repair operations without bothering anyone. Other groups of the same kind of ships went around at high speeds, using their beams to collect space debris and bring them all into a big pile which would letter be sent to a recycling centre for melting and molding.

Multiple beeps went off on Bazuijn's mainframe, followed by a comm link opening up.

''Sir, we've got multiple unknown contacts closing in on us. They seem to have appeared out of nowhere. From the looks of it they're a small dispatch group, their main group stayed behind. They look to be in the same state as we are.''

Hrrmm, they might be taking advantage of our chaotic state, trying to loot and plunder our fleet while we're trying to recover. On the other hand they could just be a welcoming party for first contact. Redster kept analyzing the situation in his head. He could send out a military unit, to coach them away from our fleet where we can safely establish contact. But that would create a gap in our already weakened defenses. I guess it's a risk I'll have to take.

''Alright, sent out units M456, M678 and M290 to meet with our guests. Tell them to coach them towards this area'' Redster touched part of a map of their solar system. The information was immediatley transferred to pilot contacting him ''and await further orders.''

''Roger that!'' The comm link shut down. Redster opened up a link with the hangars, seeking to know how many vessels were operational. ''About enough for one squadron sir!'' report one of the men on duty down there. ''Good'' Redster replied ''Reserve one vessel for me and get the vessels ready to fly, ASAP.'' Redster turned around and left for the Hanger, just barely hearing the ''Sir yes sir'' from the soldier in the hangar.

-------------------------------------------------

Down in the hangar the ships were ready to depart.

''Sir, vessels ready to launch on your command'' One pilot reported as Redster walked into the hangar.

''Alright, we're departing 5 minutes ago.'' He climbed inside one of the ships and fired up the hyperspace engines. The other ships followed suite. The rest of the personnel in the hangar exited as the shield doors opened, allowing the air in the hangar to be sucked into space giving a nice, energy free boosts the ships. The squadron went into full throttle and headed towards their destination, eager to know who or what was contacting them.

Adatas sat in the captain's chair of the Bridge, watching the view screen zoom in on the ships dispatched from the opposite fleet. He noted that using a very similar tactic to their own, though that was entirely understandable, considering the situation. He glanced down at the data screen on the arm of his seat, and tapped a few holograms on it until Gesicht's face appeared on screen.
"Engineering, how are the engines holding up? Did the rift damage it at all?" he asked as Gesicht shouted at someone off-screen.
"Oh, they're doing great Captain. There were some unusual fluxes in energy when we started 'em up, but so far the Bellows are working just as they're s'pposed to. I'd like to add that we were also able to take care of that cruiser that crashed inside. Things got a bit concernin' when the reactor started to overheat on it, but we were able to get a containment field over it before the big boy popped."
The Captain responded "Good to hear, Gesicht, good to hear. You know who to call if there are any problems."
"Gho-" he was cut off as Adatas switched his comm feed to the diplomatic advisory.

"Alright, boys, what can you tell us about these folks?"
A speaker in blue robes stared down at the datapad in her lap as she read off the information.
"We have no info on this race. As far as identification goes, they're completely new to our database. This is without a doubt a new race. We've picked up several intermittent messages from their fleet, and we're working on translating now. Diplomatic advice would be to send out the Ambassador ship and the escort squadrons for a meeting before revealing the Khar Tannis to them, but since they've already seen us, it's up to you, captain."
"Affirmative. I'll consider the options." He stated, closing the channel and calling up the port side hangar. "This is the bridge. Is the ambassador shuttle ready for launch?"
"Affirmative, sir. All systems are go, and we're waiting for your signal to embark."
"Excellent, excellent, I'll be down there in a few minutes to go with you."
The crewman blanched at his response, and stopped for a moment to process it.
"E-Excuse me, sir? Why are are you riding with us? Is that not incredibly dangerous?!"
"Of course it is, ensign," Adatas retorted striding over to the grav lift. "but sometimes you just have to be there for the important things."

_ _ _ _ _ _ _

Several minutes later, the CEO and his ambassadors were boarding the diplomatic shuttle, the Hsen Karsis, and soon after that they prepped for launch.
Resting comfortably in his seat, Adatas chatted amicably with the ambassadors as the ship shuddered forward, the engines burning to life as the docking bay detached them and the hangar doors spat them out into the void of space.
Looking out through the viewport, he could see sixteen squads of Interceptors doing light strafing formations around the six defense frigates sent to escort the Hsen.
"How about we have those boys calm down a bit. This isn't the best time for jumpy trigger fingers." He said, leaning over his datapad connected to Tannis Command.

"Confirmed, sending orders now."

He watched as the interceptors slowed down to normal levels and fell into a curved formation arcing around the shuttle towards the frigates.

"I hope they come in peace." he muttered to himself.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

On the Bridge, Calco Tandus watched on in silence as the shuttle and its formation flew away, their size a minuscule speck in comparison to the Great Forge and its planet-sized berths. A crease in her brow showed her concern as she observed the sensors relay displaying the shuttle and the ships approaching them.

Redster and his first contact fleet awaited at the designated point as the military escort vessels neared the aproaching alien fleet.

''Let's hope we'll be best friends after this'' Redster uttered in a sigh of exhaustion and frustration.

The ship despite being small is quiet well equipped having a high-level Quantum Transmitter Drive and mid-level weaponry though it is only used in rare cases that fighting is the only option.the engine is slightly remarkable because it uses the energy of nothing to run all its systems the power flowing through living crystal conduits.

His ships name is Known as The Crescent

Race: The Arkxhon

Race Description: Human in general shape the have two arms and two legs there eyes are catlike they have 5 fingers and five toes though there is a talon on their heel which no amount of genetic manipulation or study has figured out why it is there or how to remove it.
Average Height: 7"2'
Skin:Bright White through Midnight Black with the average being a gentle gray in color with genetically inserted tattoos.
Eye Color:many different colors most common being green, purple, gold and silver.
Average Age: 100

History: one of four original races that inhabiting their home cluster they are the only ones not to have achieved the transcendence and shape-shifting abilities of the others.coming into being over 1000 years after the eldest of the Transcendent Three achieved the ascendant state they were immediately conquered and turned into slaves. after roughly 3000 years of slavery they were freed by the Youngest of the Transcendent Three 500 years later all three disappeared.

at this point the Arkxhon began to finally become a true civilization, due to the slavery they partially skipped early development and began creating tribes and villages, the oldest of them becoming the chieftains and the smartest the priests and medicine men.they rapidly progressed after another 500 years they had motorized vehicles at this point the progressed even faster forming larger cities and finally made it into space in primitive craft. genetic engineering came and they were marked in there skin with the symbol of their tribe, children born to those marked gained the symbol and other became part of maturity, the Arkxhon spread across their planet and a central government was formed The Council Two representatives from each tribe came together in what was the capital city of Hea'Sytis.

1000 years past no wars occurred and technology sped by it was time of peace but food became scarce many died, new territory was required space travel was globally funded 10 years passed and the first true Arkxhon vessel was built, a Colony ship named as Feaar'Ebb 100 men woman and children, all from different tribes were launched and thus began the creation of The Hea'Syn Council.

thousands of ships were built an empire spanning 500 stars stars was formed of a single race, new races joined with The Arkxhon and Hea'syn Council 3 galaxies spanned at the end of it all, hyperspace began to be studied many experimental ships were lost hundred of men and woman then a Arkxhon man by the name of Rhel uncovered the secret of the quantum bubble only the highest class ships received the high quality Quantum Transmitter Drive that would allow them to travel quickly between the worlds, many ships captains and crews preferred the long journey stating it would be more expensive ot take one jump by hyperspace then it was to travel by Realspace they continued to say this until The Barrier broke.

Unique Technologies
Living Crystals:crystal that are capable of channeling enrgy and storing data, located in every portion of Arkxhon Technology, standard ballistic weapons now use a glass bullet filled with a quick growing crystal as ammunition.

Immortality: Due to both genetic modification and extreme advances in medicine the Arkxhon have become immortal, they are no longer capable of dying from natural causes, after the first generation who had immortality reached 100 they subsequently became depressed and changed the societal laws to allow suicide by both assisted and self done means.
only way to die are either by suicide or by unnatural means, murder is still a crime.

Nothing Energy: no one is sure how not even the Arkxhon themselves how this was discovered or how it was first harnessed but a vacuum bubble with coils on the outside was capable of creating near limitless energy at little cost and to no environmental harm.

------------------

The Crescent maneuvered around the asteroids that had suddenly materialized in their path.

Daska watched as Idask adeptly piloted the ship through the field many different messages appeared on the screens about the room, the most startling was the ship Position scanner indicating they were 50000 light-years from the nearest Hea'syn Council World.

"what is going on here?" Daska asked himself.

The Hsen Kharsis' escorts fell backas the shuttle approached the three military ships, sensor relays flashing in strobes as the shuttle analyzed their hull markings.
The translator data from the Ambassador Advisory flashed across Adatas' datapad, and he nodded the go-ahead for the data transmission. The front of the bulbous shuttle split, a small atmospheric bubble forming in the space between the two halves. Standing in the center of the bubble, on a floating pedestal surrounded by empty space, were Adatas and his ambassadors, wearing the ceremonial white robes of the Peace Ceremony.

A hologram projector extended from back of the bubble, firing a small projected image of the Peace Council into the space between the two groups of ships.

Broadcasting through the expert electronic translators crafted through a millenia of business with millions of races, Adatas spoke.
"Hello, I am Adatas Marx, Chief Executive Officer of the Khar Toba Corporation and Captain of the Great Forge Ship Khar Tannis. Our corporation deals in the manufacture and sale of starships, from the small fighter craft, corvettes, and frigates you see before you, to Super Capital Class Vessels such as Battle Cruisers and Motherships. We are currently beaming aboard a catalog of our various sales packages and the payments we charge for each service. I look forward to our future business endeavors together."

The three military vessels are astonished at first by the peaceful approach of the aliens, expecting a hostile attack instead.

Not really knowing what to do, two of the ships flanked the alien group and one stayed infront of them. The one infront made a turn towards where Redster was waiting and fired it's engines up a couple of times in short burts, signaling to go there.

Hoping they understood that, the ship infront started slowly accelerating towards Redster.

At the display of the other ships, the pedestal slowly floated backwards into the recesses of the shuttle. After closing slowly, the shuttle's engines fired up and it slowly flew to the location indicated.

Redster impatiently awaits the arrival of the alien vessels, not really knowing what to expect of these new creatures.

As the ships come to a halt infront of Redster and his entourage, what appears to be the alien ambassador ship's front splits up again, showing of it's holographic projection and displaying it's message to the Kharii.

After listening to the message and discovering that their language isn't that different from theirs Redster turns to his co-pilot.

''Damn, I wish we came up with this sort of stuff.........Do we even have a way of communicating with them??''

''Uhhhhmm'' The co-pilot replied. ''We could try to established a video uplink with them, but I don't know if they have compatible receivers.''

''Well, it's worth a shot.'' Redster gave the order and a miniature monitor coupled with audio and video input and output popped up. The screen displayed static, trying to find the right frequency. ''I guess I'll just...talk then. See if it comes through.''

''Greetings Adatas Marx! I, Redster Cemtret, leader and coördinator of the largest fleet known to the Kharii and vicinity, welcome you to our humble home star system. Don't mind the mess, we're in a bit off a tight spot with the recent happenings. We are a race of easy going, yet militaristic people wanting a better place for all living things in the universe....Well, if they don't bother us too much. We know nothing of your...trading or commerce you speak of. We don't have an economy. Call it communism if you will. Everyone gets everything! Haha!'' Redster closed the audio and video input and mutters to himself ''I made a fool out of myself...''

Adatas watched the video footage of the Khari ambassador intently, looking for signs of treachery. After the message ended, he could barely contain the grin on his face.
Opening up the comm channel and switching to a live two-way feed, he began to speak in an earnest voice.
"Hah-hah, good performance, Redster. It's good to meet you. I'm going to send a message to the Khar Tannis. We'll have them go pick up the the pieces of the planet we were mining, and bring them up here. As a show of faith, we'll be using a few of the continents to make you guys either an extra fleet of frigates, or a few capital class ships. If you want something built to any specifications, let my Chief Economic Negotiator Calco Tandus know. I'm sending over all our contact information now. Also, we'd be perfectly willing to help out with any repairs your fleet needs.

Redster chuckled at Adatas after which he gladly declined the offer of the fleet of frigates.

"Sorry, we're just not the kind that completely harvest planets like that. Any extra help repairing and prying the ships away from each other would be greatly appreciated though!''

With a nod, he signed out and headed back to Bazuijn, who's Hyperspace engine cores were operational again. He saw the fleet getting back into formation, the larger ships alligning with Bazuijn and the immensely smaller squadrons of strike crafts, frigates and the likes forming tight clusters near their parent ships while support craft are still patching up the ships. Some of the larger, collisioned ships have been pried loose and are litterarly being swarmed by hundreds and thousands of support craft fixing the hull and interiors of the ships.

Redster took a look at Alphmega and how the planet was the only planet in the solar system, accompanied by only two moons and related it with the history of the Kharii race. For so lang have they been the only beings they've known of in the universe, always fending for themselves. He ponders as to the condition of the other planets under Kharii control, they're most likely undergoing the same chaos as they are. Just trying to figure out what the hell happened.

As is Kharii nature, a few lone military scout ships flew in the direction of their new friends, out of boredom and sheer curiosity.

Adatas frowned with dissatisfaction at Redster's refusal, but shrugged and looked back at his ambassadors. "Well, that wasn't so bad, was it? Let's go back to the forge. I think a round of drinks is in order. On me of course."
The ambassadors all cheered as the shuttle swerved on its axis and headed directly towards the Khar Tanis, its engine contrails burning a cheerful blue-green in the void of space. The cabin walls buzzing with a slight hum, he began examining the blueprints for proposed uses of the planet cracked to pieces only a few days ago.

The Fleet was in chaos. Prince Lugaes entered the command bridge of the Anaya, searching Captain Camarr in the mass of panicking officers.
' Captain! Captain, where are you?'
' Over here!' The voice came from a corner. Camarr was there, alongside the ship's Astropaths and other important personnel. He pushed his way through the crowd to the corner.
' Gimme a sitrep, Captain, and don't waste time with protocol.'
' Uhh... okay, here goes. We don't know what happened. We don't know where we are.
We don't know how far from the Angelus Sub this place is, and the whole Fleet's panicking. Shields are down to 30%. I think we passed through an asteroid field when... when whatever brought us here happened. Also, your brother...'
The captain was interrupted by one of his comm officers.
' Incoming transmission from the Glory of Haveter, Captain!'
The Glory? That was the 6th's transport, wasn't it?
' Patch it through.' Lugaes and the Captain said at the same time.
The familiar face of Commander Ekrath, his 2nd-in-command, filled the nearest pic screens.
His usual grin was gone, and red light illuminated his face. Alarms, Lugaes realized instantly.
' I'm sure everybody's busy up there, so I'll cut the chase. Bad news. Something... went straight through our engines when we arrived. Unrepairable without a dockyard, the cogheads say.'
Coghead was Army slang for the techpriests of the Church of the Machine-God.
Sometimes, Lugaes found himself using the word, thankfully not in front of the techpriests themselves, like some of his officers.
' Is there anything at all you can do?'
' Afraid not, sir. Looks like we're stuck.' Ekrath grinned. He was a Jokaero, so that grin was not one of the most pleasant sights in the universe. Rows and rows of sharp teeth... Lugaes had heard Jokaero could cut a man in two with one bite. Foolish rumours. Probably.
In any case, he didn't want to become enemies with a Jokaero.
' Hang on there, Commander. We'll... uhh... get you to the nearest planet with... uhh... flying a Warp Gate through you.'
' Uhh... just be careful, alright? I have a feeling the captain of this fine ship doesn't want any more dents in her.'
' I'll tell the cogh... the Kovan to be careful.'
Ekrath nodded, and closed the channel. Lugaes was instantly approached by the Captain.
' Message from your brother. The Fleet's setting sail towards the only planet in this system.'
' Well, you don't need my permission for that, do you? Get on with it!' Lugaes snapped. The thought of his brother leading a fleet in uncharted territory far away from the Empire was just... ugh.
He'd probably want to start his own little Empire in here.
Lugaes shuddered. No, that was something he could see happening in a dream.
A nightmare, to be exact.

Race description: A race that can bond physically with practically any other race sentient or not giving them various benefits, while keeping themselves alive in the process, universally they extend lifespan by some degree even if by a few years, which on their own physiology makes them somewhat immortal with their uncanny understanding of biological technologies. Their genetic variance means their physical forms such as shape and size vary, but their metabolism and effects on their bonded are what vary most, as well as the effects their bonded has on them which led to a more diverse technological outlook, though their peaceful and non-violent approach means their weapons technology is somewhat lacking, since leaping into space though Symbiax bonded more often with their biological space ships. Since the Cataclysm though their utopia homestation, Crema was vaporised as it leaped through to another universe the same moment as the cataclysm occured, Grex and his bonded being the only survivor. They reproduce

Biological ring: All structures of the Symbiax have a biological ring to it, using heavier elements for advanced technology, but Symbiax often persevere to recreate such technology in a biological theme. Their medical technology as a result is also at its best, though symbiax are each their own medical marvel in regenerative capabilities.

Shield technology: Some of the best there is, highly efficient not needing any surplus energy once established unless its workload changes, also happily bending space to its objective allowing other feats of technology to be pulled off.

Travel technology: Very fast as it goes, again very efficient, capable of teleporting directly into hyperspace and manipulating hyperspace displacement to catapult them out at great speeds without being noticed, as well as completing journeys very quickly, they were also capable of leaping into other universes before the cataclysm, but can no longer do so, but theorise if they can repair the cataclysm then they shall save the Crema and over 10 quadrillion sentient beings that were aboard it.

Adapting matrix: An advanced genetic program enabling organic creations such as symbiax space ships to alter their genetic code and restructure themselves to fit a certain situation, such as developing new exo and endo skeleton structures to protect itself from new impacts it regularly experiences, but not of natures of improving general efficiencies and effectiveness as new knowledge and genetic code needs to be aquired to enable such leaps. Though symbiax have a basic version of this enabling survival of their bonded in extreme situations such as being chucked out into space or being frozen in a way not enabling cryogenics, which is normally how they survive being in space, though rarely compatible in them, probability of being compatible is 1 in quadrillion.

---

Feeling that he is surroneded by emptiness, Grex feels his consciencousness come around, stretching he feels the usual resistance of the nervous tissue fluid belonging to Gladis and soon wires himself in, with a few blinks his long shark like form, Gladis awakens, a non-sentient bio computer so to speak that is more there to keep him sane providing conversation than to be useful. Thinking to himself he gets his bearings

"So the Crema is wiped out... after millions of years charging the inter-multiverse drives some universe merging hyperspace accident had to happen the very moment we were jumping through the barriers wiping us out save me... I'm only a diplomat... not a scientist, I managed Crema like a pro, but I never understood how she worked... how am I gonna fix this one Gladis?"

"Find someone who can? Sensors are operational, there is alot of ship activity some way away, they have different universe signatures, there is also prescences of hypothetical mana particles, if the magic experimentation probe were available we could have fixed this all in time for a hydrogen refill for my fusion heart core, actually there is a sun, a single hyperspace jump away, shall we proceed?"

"Yes Gladis, remember to get shields going, we have to get close to the sun for this and I don't want to get burned like last time"

"That was millions of years ago though"

The tail end of Gladis lights up the deep dark reaches of space briefly flicking along providing forward momentum, before they dissapear into a blue blink, reappearing across the other side of the system in a blue blink, entering a close orbit to the sun to extract hydrogen particles happily acting like a strange hungry creature more than a sentient, completely ignoring the other ships nearby. *please dont hunt endangered species*

Clank. Clunk. Bwoosh.
All perfectly generic noises a mecha made. Moments ago it had been dispatched to send the asteroid heading in the opposite direction. It landed on the surface then began firing its rockets towards the 409 cloud, which caused it quickly to lose momentom and reverse itself.

But one little asteroid couldnt be so bad right? Well that would be true, if not for the large nebula that had formed half a hollow sphere around all of the planets. The explosion would have sent radiation off towards it, and caused an utter catastrophy.

Back on the Thermidor, a disturbing revelation had settled in. Out of all the planets and moons that had appeared, all known to have healthy populations and all the same tech as the rest of the empire had, nobody had responded. Not a single sentient being on any of the 25 planets was responding. And they had checked all communications possible: nobody was even texting.

Two small drones had been sent out to fly beyond the nebula to gain star information. They had managed to calculate the nearest 10 systems, and Jat was looking over them carefully.

"I don't recognise any of these places." He muttered to himself. "How is this possible?"

Suddenly, a small, green light began glowing from the side of a moon. It made a small 'ping' noise. Everyone suddenly became very alert at this. Somebody was calling for help. With the press of afew keys on a touch screen the craft came on screen. The Norisdian, a massive colony ship, was lodged in the side of a moon.

"In the name of Gyo!"

"Set a course now!"

"My lord, the engines won't have enough energy to make the warp jump!"

The power statistics came on screen. Indeed, the only reason they actually had energy now was thanks to a generator that used momentom to constantly keep itself spinning. It seemed all fuel had evaporated during the cataclysm.

Luckily, the ship could convert hydrogen into fuel. And they had a large supply.

A large rocket shot out of the ship, full speed towards the centre of the nebula. As it flew, it dropped small rings every so often, forming a small guide tunnel. It reached, shot straight through, then stopped in the middle of the nebula. It split apart into a giant claw-like device. Then, a small electrical ring formed between the tips. The nebula around it began swirling, then, like a whirlpool, was sucked through the claw, through the rings, and directly into an open hatch on the Thermidor.

As the nebula was being pulled in, the whole ship began to properly reactivate. Mechonite, a very special metal, is one of a very small group which can be easily be made to replicate an organic being. So when the vast energy was being fed into a ship made of it, it began to grow in a sense. The engines pushed themselves out, the wings expanded, and it instantly turned towards its destination.

When the claw and rings were retracted, the engine, now at full charge, began to pull itself back in. The ship began to vibrate violently. Everybody onboard had strapped themselves to either a chair or were just clinging on for dear life, but they cheered. And witnin seconds, the ship shot off with such force that all of the dust and waste in the area, heck even the nearest planet, rumbled when it took off.

The small ships Adoun had encountered before had returned! The jumped up alongside the Absolution, but attacked their larger ships! What?! The other ships broke off their attack on the Absolution as one of their cruiser's shields began to malfunction. The larger vessels opened fire on the smaller ships, firing some sort of phasing pulse.

Adoun attempted to seize this opportunity as he initiated the warp drive. All systems went offline however, as the Absolution suffered a massive power drain. a few of the smaller ships had begun to overload the Absolution as well. They were soon vaporized by one of the larger alien vessels, which unloaded a massive barrage of arching particle streams.

As power stability was returned, Adoun noticed that the small, alien ships flickered out and were gone. He was now left at the mercy of this, apparently different, alien race. As the large ships reorganized, they encircled the Absolution.

Adoun attempted to initiate communications as he signaled the alien vessels. Due to the nature of modern Tubaal communications, all messages are direct thought to machine. While far different from any vocal language, all thoughts, ideas, and references are translated into binary code and vice-versa, allowing any logic based computer system to serve as an effective translator.

"Stand down. I mistakenly thought your ships to be of those that just attacked. Perhaps you could enlighten me on the current situation." Adoun hoped he had clarified his position well enough. The message he received minutes later was quite startling "Confirm to us that this is the galactic core." There was a short pause as Adoun realized he may know more about the current situation than they did. He transferred his data on previous star charts as well as his recent celestial mapping.

"You have given us two different star charts, neither of which are helpful. How extensive is your knowledge of this sector?" the aliens queried after several minutes. "What you see is all I know. My last known position was somewhere near the edge of the Hinderra Arm, roughly 18,750 light years away from the galactic core. As of an hour ago, I am in uncharted space." Adoun responded. There was long pause before the aliens responded "We appear to be caught within the same circumstances. We were sent here in pursuit of our enemy, you may travel with us if you wish."

Adoun agreed; they seemed to be able to handle themselves quite well, and were apparently utilized more advanced technology. They requested coordinates from him and he chose the most far-flung star system on his chart. The ships moved in unison, distorting along their outer edges until space seemed to swallow them altogether.

As the final major repairs were almost complete, a senser suddenly went off aboard the Bazuijn. All the other ships in the fleet confirmed the signal. It appeared to be moving slowly, at a constant velocity near the outer edges of the solar system.

Another sensor went off, notifying an energy build up inside the unknown, unidentified craft. The blip dissappeared for a split second from the radar, only to reappear a short distance from the sun, a red dwarf.

In unison, multiple data relays opened up, connecting with all major vessels inside the fleet. They all displayed the same data: the craft was siphoning hydrogen off of the sun.

''Sir! Do you kn-'' Shouted one of the officers inside the bridge, who was immediatley cut off by Redster.

''Yes, yes I see it. That craft is draining our sun. We cannot tolerate such unconfirmed actions from unknown alien crafts inside our solar system! Confiscate the craft, bring it into the holding hangar inside the Bazuijn. I will personally oversee the interrogation process.''

''Sir yes sir!'' was heard from all corners of the bridge as Redster exited the bridge.

At the same time, thousands of other signals appeared on radar, further away than the previous signal. Some of them started moving towards Alphmega.

The Crescent finally passed out of the asteroid field Daska and Idask gaped in wonder at the vast nebulous space that was before them, the scanners picked up what appeared to be a planetary system somewhere on the other edge of the nebula. as Daska was about to tell Idask to set a course for this system that was not on any know start charts an alarm sounded picking up a group of large in-coming ships, from what Daska could tell part of the group appeared to be mining ships of an unknown design while the others could not be identified in anyway except as large.

Feeling lifeforce return to him Grex starts to restart several systems. In the blink of an eye fusion to chemical energy systems rev up and regeneration starts.

Gladis regulates the repairs, damage from the cataclysm seemed to rip out everything, but them, the only logical explanation Grex could think of was him being the only symbiax being directly compatible with the adaptix matrix, that was bonded to a bio-ship fitted with the adaptix matrix, the technology he has available isn't the most recent, but his shields are relatively up to date as otherwise he would have disrupted Crema's shields back then even if it was passively on would have created random workloads and wasted valuable energy.

"Gladis... how close are we to full operational capacity... its just that on sensors the energy blips in this system are reacting to our prescence, I believe their movement patterns suggest a capture plan, though I haven't scanned further deliberately so as to not cause alarm"

"Engines are just about at full potential, I'm calibrating sensors to get data on this mana stuff, could be a useful power source syphoning hydrogen for a fusion core is a pain. Are you thinking evasion"

"More like peaceful submission, I'm a diplomat, we need this disaster fixed, so does everyone else I imagine, getting everyone to work together is hopefully something I can do, though set shields to vaporise all dead cells and to repel all other matter other than ours out of it, as well as preventing advanced scans other than to identify we have no weapons systems as such, we got our fill of hydrogen, doing quite well, only needed about 10 moles or so of hydrogen, we're sorted for a good few years now (fusion is very efficient you know, if managed properly). Also keep an eye on our immeadiate surrondings, I don't want them extracting genetic material, they may react to possibilities of immortality and other biological disaster culture we always seem to encounter, which our adaptix matrix would fuel"

"No problem, all systems are at peak condition, we will need to acquire physical matter resources soon, but we got plenty in our stores for now, your symbiax structure and mental state fine?"

"Physically I'm good now, mentally... well you know we lost Crema possibly forever, but we need to strive on, time to set off, power up communication systems"

Breaking orbit from the red giant Grex moves towards the craft, as he approaches he begins broadcasting in a universal diplomatic language he devised that uses element atom structures, protons, neutrons and electrons, up and down quarks. To create alphabets, yes and no logic systems, pieces of information such as pictures, sound, videos as greetings, creating basic computer systems universally compatible to binary, DNA computing and other less common ones such as crystal systems, which is often made easier as they document language and computer systems they encounter and add them to the information so that a similar one they identify can help them get up to speed with it. Using this system Grex normally gets relations started fairly fast, he developed it after having to deal with all sorts of communication systems from different telepathy types, purely touch and other senses, computationals, crystalline and even other pure biological systems, even based of other life elements other than carbon, such as silicon.

"Greetings, sorry to startle you, I was damaged from the disaster that has occured, my people were wiped out in it, during an inter-multiverse jump, I'm the last left unless this can be fixed, may I speak to your superiors to start diplomatic relations?"
