Doubt it, they don't have the technology. All their long range missile tests have failed.

However, I hope they do succeed. If they do, they fail. The US will declare war, same with China (China can't survive without the US, their economy will fail), perhaps Europe (Allies and such) and every one's nuclear arsenal combined would crush North Korea's. North Korea doesn't have that big a nuclear armory. These guys are a threat to all of humanity, and should be crushed.

Anyways, I totally agree with you Dr. Kilory. A war with North Korea caused by a ballistic missile hitting a US state will be totally not costly both monetarily and in human life. And fuck those communist bastards, their a goddamn threat to humanity. Because going to war with them will totally fix that threat. Yeah.

Hey, they are launching nukes at us, what are we supposed to do? Lay back and allow them to? In a perfect world, they would stop if we do that. But they want to destroy everyone else. And besides, I wasn't saying we go to nuclear war with them. As for the missile, obviously we would intercept and destroy it, by "hitting Hawaii" I don't mean actually blowing it up...

You got the wrong message, I was hoping that they do succeed, because they are tempting fate. If they want to launch nukes go right ahead, but I want them to realize that that would be stupid. That is not allowed in this international community. I wasn't saying go to an all out war. Just like reprimanding a kid, you have to teach what is right and wrong. And launching nukes will not be tolerated.

What to you suggest we do, diplomacy? Appease them so they don't attack? Their leader is a greedy, paranoid, evil dictator. He is putting people in concentration camps and doing horrible experiments.

Yes, I hope they succeed too because war is WAAAY better than peace. See, if they really do shoot off one of their tin-can missiles in the next couple of days, we need to find some alternative than just saying, "FUCK IT, GRAB YOUR RIFLES BOYS! GUNG HOOOO!" And we won't because while President Obama probably has some good iron balls, he doesn't have the fucking steel/brass balls to just discard any hopes of peace at the first sign of aggression.

Reprimanding a kid? Have you ever tried to discipline a kid that can bench 300 lbs? North Korea isn't some shit hole with zero military technology, it's got enough artillery pointed at South Korea to launch 500,000 shells towards Seoul within an hour. What are we supposed to do then? Say:
"Hey sorry South Korea, but we really need to get rid of these guys for firing that piece of scrap metal at us that didn't even hit us, hope you feel better with all of that shrapnel killing your citizens


Really? A war with Korea would be a fucking nightmare. And while if it got to the point where there was no other way than just committing and declaring war, then okay. Declare war, but not without searching for any other possible solution beforehand. That's what (if I'm not being clear) I was disgusted with in your post; the overall tone that you wanted North Korea to send a missile over to the US and for us to retaliate with full military commitment.

South Korea would love us if we went to war, it's like if Canada was pointing missiles at us and we were unable to do anything. But I don't want "full military commitment" It seems the wrong word (Forget I ever said "hope"), but we have to do something. It is like waiting for a cancer tumor to just go away.

Heck just forget everything I said in my last posts. Nothing is going to happen anyways so it doesn't matter...

I find it interesting how North Korea suddenly decides to try this with the new Adminstration [ well new by political terms anyway]. If I remember correctly, one of the big things people didn't like about Obama was his foreign policy, now is his time to prove himself. If a missle is launched at America , regardless of it if it hits or not, you would think it would be a declaration of war. All war is going to accomplish is getting alot of people killed with probably no real result. Besides, what are the chances this missle does actually hit? Tommorow's the Fourth of July, and I remember hearing that was gonna be the day they did it so I guess all we can do is watch.Hopefully I don't find myself regretting doubting North Korea's missle strength.

Their missle strength MAY(Who knows? most likely not enough thats what I would go with) not be enough at this time but eventually its going to come to the point, your country or theirs, yeah it would be great if peace held true but the world aint like that, it always has and always will be (Unfortunately) kill or be killed and your fine as long as you can speak softly and carry a big stick, if America or the UK are losing that perception then some country will think were all soft and start war, "history teaches us that history teaches us nothing!"

America has this idea about a nice cosy fantasy world where everyone solves their problems in a civil way and via democracy but it will never happen
