Creature Size?

Say if you make a creature as large as u can in the game eg: size of a baby elephant or so, does that mean in tribal phase there are less of your creature or is size not a factor in spore?

Also if your hunting does this same rule apply because 5 huge creatures in a pack would very easily take down most creatures maybe even an epic creature.

Why do you keep making threads with the same title (Creature size?)?...

You can determine the size of your creature (as they have shown in various videos), but they have not shown the maximum size or how that will be determined. Maximum number of vertebrae in the spine, perhaps? Who knows.

Tino this is the second time I've seen you spew bad information tonight.

It has been said, that creatures will be no larger than an elephant and no small than a mouse.

I'm guessing epic creatures are the maximum size, or they are an unlockable size, which might not be usable for the creature phase (unless you're designing the antagonist, of course)

My second sentence was truthiness, my third speculation, my fourth retrospection?

"No larger than an elephant" is a reference point, not exact. I suppose I'm more thinking things like, is there a vertebrae limit? or what's the largest I can fatten an individual part? The elephant description only helps so much.

And be tactful when you attempt to correct someone, please.

My apologies.

But that actually is something to consider... How long can the spine be drawn? I'd like to make a very long creature and squeeze in the spine like an accordion, going up and down and up and down, inch worm style. What would the limit be like in that area?

Exactly my thought!

Could I make a creature two vertebrae tall and have him be as fat as an elephant? Does the creature just need to fit within a certain space (like your accordion idea) or is there a "length" limit in addition to a "size" limit? They always talk about how much we can do, but I'm very curious to know the creator's limits.

i don't think physical size is taken into account in terms of gameplay mechanics, and is purely asthetic.

what matters is whether you gave your giant elephantine creatures buzzsaws, pincers, teeth, etc.
at least that's what appears to be the case.
to be honest, i wouldn't be surprised if the game allows something like a willosaur to drag the carcass of an epic monster around, since, from what i've seen/read mass/weight is not considered in the game mechanics

The game is balanced, so if your creature is strong, others will be strong too.
