It is plausible, that it will remind a naga (snakeman) or then it will be the weirdest thing ever seen (with 600k eyes and such). The time will show.

This will be my first creature, because it literally evolved on the paper, turning from a freaky monkey to this creature in the space of a few years, and it already looked almost exactly like it does now before I even heard of spore.

This is the sunstrider. The sunstrider is an herbivore that lives in small herds. It is sentient and uses the lobes on the tips of it's ears for communication, using them like radio antennas that receive information from other members of its race because it doesn't have a mouth with which to form words. Thin rods that stick out from either side of the sunstrider's body help with its balance and stability, especially when it whips its bladed tail.

So... Yeah. This thread is now doomed... Unless someone posts in the next hour.
That way my curse will be... delayed.

My first creature is probably going to be super intelligent and fairly small (the body about the size of a large house cat, and the legs making it much taller). It will have 6 legs and no arms, It will have one eye in the center of it's head. The head will be a tilted elongated-sphere with spines circling the center. The legs will be similar to jointed stilts and have sharp claws for feet...... The other details are to tedious and boring, so I won't list them.

My first creature will be called the geonicthys - it will live 10-20 kilometers underground, have a streamlined body with rows of prehensile fins on both sides, will see using ambient neutrinos, and be composed of such dense crystalline matter that it will swim through solid rock as if it were water.

Just kidding.

My first creature will probably be a hexiped, with two of those limbs being hollow bone stabbers, like a peculiar cross between wings and the forelimbs of a praying mantis. It'll have no eyes and a sonar dome full of liquid across the top of its cranium for sonar communication.
It will be an underground creature that navigates on four arthropod limbs through tunnels the walls of which are implanted with a sticky, thick living gel.
A liquivore that feeds through its 'wings', its jaws do not open onto a gullet, being used instead to aid in holding onto prey.

I'm hopelessly mundane so I'll probably wind up trying to make RL creatures and all they'll all be nauseatingly cute! Once that's out of my system I'll probably wind up making something more dark, scary and altogether interesting - I love the big Spider pic that's posted in the screenshots gallery here so I'm keen to give those sorts of creatures a try, but no unfortuantely, my first creature is very likely to wind up being a basset hound or something equally useless

I, at this point, have three concepts for creatures and accessory and these two will be my first:

The Teilani
Body: Average Size of a man. Evolving from wolf-like creatures to bipeds. Preferrably weak, of average speed but intelligent. standard accessories: one mouth, 2 eyes, 2 legs, 2 arms, 2 ears.

Character: Diplomatic and friendly, prefer preace, but will defend themselves if they have to. Trustworthy allies, which like to share their wealth.

Buildings: Symmetric, glamorous, mainly held in silverish and bright blue.
Vehicles: see buildings


The Thrax
Body. The Spine is completely vertical. arms are scattered along the spine at various positions. The base is likely to be four small legs. The mouth is on top, they are omnivore. The color is mainly silverish, brown and black. A frightening and irritating sight...

Character: vile and dumb. Generally not interested in any kind of diplomatics. Actually they should not be able to directly recognise other creatures as indivitduals but rather either "food", "threat" or "both". collective mind.

Buildings: Should look very much like them, as they are basically mutated Thrax themselves.
Vehicles: see buildings

i just will have to wait, until i find out what ideas i can use and which not...

No, I've got it - I thought about it and I've decided what my first creature is going to be - Ermintrude from the Magic Roundabout, I loved Ermintrude the cow when I was little and she's just so well designed to be an easy Spore creature I reckon. Well the hat and the flower might be a challenge, but overall she looks very plausible!

There are flowers in the creature editor so that should be easy. The hat would work for tribe at least.

I have no name for it since I will probably have made a couple hundred creatures before i a leave the creature phase, 99.9% of which will be utterly utterly stupid and useless, since i have a tendency to trying to stretch the boundries of a game before i even start it(can lead to funny results but is usually just a really stupid and timeconsuming way of playing :P:P)

I will probably start out with something picasso esque, where i just place appendages at random all over the place and fool around with it untill it dies as the horrible freak of nature it is :P (yup all of you who play on the lowest of the low difficulties will probably see a bunch of my pitiful creations popping up and committing suicide before your feet)

btw do you think EA has made a "Lemming" filter that will stop creatures who are just too stupid to live from being imported into other peoples games? i mean how fun is it to prey on animals who have less defensive measures than grass?
