Morphi are sentient, floating organisms that move by propelling themselves through the air with gas-filled sacs. The largest sac on the top of the morphus is filled with helium gas, which is produced by a kind of microbe that lives on the inner wall of the sac. The smaller sacs are used for propulsion. They suck air in and expel it at high speeds to move through the air. The lining of the sacs are filled with blood vessels, and they also serve as lungs.
The purple areas on the morphus are caused by luminescent bacteria. By changing the hormone flow to these areas, morphi can make these organisms glow in virtually any colour in the spectrum, brightly, dimly, or not at all. Morphus eyes are very sensitive to changes in light, and this bioluminescence combined with tentacle movements is the main method of communication.
Morphi are carnivorous, and they hunt in groups to take down larger prey. Because morphi sacs are susceptible to tearing, morphi live in caves, high on the tops of cliffs, where most other creatures cannot reach. They inhabit only mountainous terrain, and do not directly attack larger, more dangerous animals. Instead, they follow them at a safe height, flinging projectiles and herding them off the nearest cliff. Once the creatures are dead, morphi inject digestive juices and suck out the softened insides.
Morphi live in small family groups, and lay 1-2 eggs after a period of 4 weeks, which then take another 5 weeks to hatch. The hatchlings are colourless, and they have no bacteria to produce helium with. The parents take turns feeding them regurgitated meat, which has both glowing, and helium-producing bacteria in it. After about 2 months, the babies are able to float and glow. They begin to produce pigments at 6 months. Young learn the luminescent language from experience. They will moult their old exoskeletons every month for a full year, then slow to once every 2 months until they are full grown, which takes about 20 years. Morphi can live for up to 200 years if not claimed by sickness or injury.

Sorry for the long post

Space Goat, Coat to Coat

I finished the Space Goat over the weekend in zBrush. I didn't spend any time on the color, i just threw some shaders and materials at it. Anyways, No reason in uploading the images again, the internet is pretty crowded as is, so check it out here -> Andrew Quintiliani

Space goat description: The space goat originaly looked more like an emu with no wings, except instead of clawed toes, it had hooves. When the race became sentient, the made artificial appendages for better stability. Even later on after that they stated adding wings to the collar that holds their front legs. The wings are used for space travel, which is why he is also wearing a "helmet". Plus it looks cool.

The space goats are pretty peaceful, i guess they would be the religous type, or maybe economic. Their diet is mostly herbivourous, but they do eat some meat.

Also, really cool barbara steisand reference. Immediatly reminded me of that south park episode with giga mecha streisand-o-saur.

Yea im pretty sure thats from the DnD books

and while its similar to what my idea is, its not exact.

I want the head to be more buggish with the multi-faceted (wrong term but i forget the right one) bug eyes and also a pretty big lower jaw. While the jaw isnt very buggish, i think it looks cool >.<!! Anyway, since we have some immature people in this thread *cough* Sporetime *cough* im going to try again....using a mouse......and paint........yea....see ya in a few months >.<
