Sorry i havent posted in a while, but i just cant get the Spider-Centuar Idea to work right @.@ well heres a description of what it would look like if anyone wants to take on the task themselves:
It would average around 6ft. tall Color scheme is dark blues and purples walks on 6 legs, has 2 arms (6 legs + 2 arms = 8 limbs) lower jaw juts out from the skull about 3 inches it has the torso of a human, but that extends from a bulb on their back which is bigger for females. basically, it looks like the attached file, but obviously with more detail >.<

Tentacle Guy
First off, great job everyone. Some really cool ideas floating around out there. I especially like the Garbonzo guy. You should draw him a bunch, repeatedly drawing a character or monster (or anything really) helps you to understand it better. I would love to see him in his natural environment with some huge fruit and stuff. Also, try some color patterns on his skin. Try out lots of stuff, even if it seems silly. Tiger stripes, giraffe spots, dog splotches, all kinds of stuff. That goes for everybody, EXPERIMENT!!
But, like I said, great stuff from everyone!!!!! ![]() Another arboreal menace. I'm not sure why, but plant monsters are awesome. anyways, this guy is from a tribal race. They are not nomadic, they stay in the same forest forever. They feed on small mammals, birds, lizards, whatever. Completely carniverous. They usually stay in the mid canopy, but will sometimes wander a little higher, or all the way down to the ground. They can't get to the tree tops because they weigh too much, about 200-300 pounds. they are born at about 20 pounds and live up to 150 years. As they age they get more and more scraggly roots off of the main tentacle. They also develop more and more hard plates along their back and their teeth yellow not based on diet, but based on age (because their teeth are broken often and grow back quickly).

Thats pretty cool, i like it. I object to the chosen mouth though, i just don't feel it suits the rest of the creature. lol i only just found the eyes, now the mouth doesn't look so odd to me.

Loobcats!!!!
I know I'm new and therefore there is no reason for anybody to do this for me, I also know there are many other, more well-deserved requests floating around this thread... Still I have a request for some talented artist to draw:
Loobcat (LOOB-kat) The loobcat is a warlike carnivore. Some say it is a feline (hence the name) but yet it is more closely related to dogs. They usually live in packs of about 60 or so loobcats. The Females are dominant. Now that I have wasted your time with a cultural description here is what they look like: Their fur is a bright crimson red with large patches of slightly darker red. The have large protruding jaws with sabertooth-like fangs sticking out from the mouth. Just about everything about them is big compared to their abdomen. They have large clawed paws and a big, bushy, orange tail. They have large, round eyes the color of their tails. Their nose is similar to that of a dog's and only their ears are small and pointed. They are bipedal (walk on two hind legs) but they are always so hunched over you can barely tell. In the tribal stage they lean heavily on large spears and bind their tails in small lengths of polished leather. Last edited by Rone : 03-25-2008 at 07:58 PM. |
