here is my spore creature. i think the crayon ruined it, but i no longer have photoshop on my pc
lets give him a name. how about swayther. swayther is a panther-like creature. Like the tweety bird Will created, his body sways or wobbles when he turns due to a large amount of weight being on the top half of the body.swayther's back legs preform the function that most front legs do and his front legs are usually on the ground. swayther can stand upright when he is stationary, but his back feet form fists so it is hard to walk in that position. i think that swayther really shows off what the creature editor can do. i hope you enjoy it and i would love constructive criticizm so i can improve swayther! thanks, emilyt ![]() |

Male Squidkey
![]() This is a Squidkey and is refferred to by local tribes as Mudusa's Ape. The male has 11 large tentacles with claws at each end Primarily used for tree climbing and combat The female has around 8. The squidkey can walk but is much more agile in the trees. If the situiation calls for it the Squidkey can swim due to its seafaring ancestry but is not quite as used to water as a current squid. It is ominverous but peacefull and will not kill for food but rather for defense, food or territory. When the squidkey becomes intelligent it uses its 6 shorter center tentacles much like we usae our hands, such as holding tools or operating machineryThe female has around 10 of these. Its monkey ancestry also gives him a high learning rate and it is known to be playfully mischevious. Squid key babies need to be in water while they grow into a size in which their muscels are strong enough to grip tree branches. This also helps them learn to swim if they ever need to to escape or chase an offender of their territory. Baby squidkeys live in water baskets bade from large bannana tree like leaves created by their parents and start out with only their center 6 tentacle and grow the larger ones as they grow.Once the baby squid can live out in open air the female forms her 10 short tentacles into a sort of basket and carries him everywhere teaching him how to climb and forage. after this training is complete the male teaches the youngster how to defend himself. However unlike most specieas squidkey children stay with their family. Most squidkey family groups count up to around 30. They help eachother defend their land and forage for food together. whaile the group will encounter other family group occasionally the events are usually not violent and usually provide the optimum time for breeding if it is breeding season. Breeding season is in the and of winter to make it easy to keep the babies water basket full with water since spring is full of rain and the babies can train in the summer. The tipical squidkey lives aroud 60 years a little less than a human. The squidkeys gain the ability of camoflauge around the age of 10 which is when they start their mandatory teritory guarding shifts for the family. The camoflauge only works when the animal is completelt still but if it does it is completely invisible. The most common reason Squidkeys attack other creatures is they either tresspass or trip over them when they are camo'ed on the ground. Squidkey wars are uncommon but when they do happen the whole family participate with only around a mixed gender group of around 4 protecting the young. This will be my first creature when spore comes out so look out for it on your planet

JINGLE BELLS:
![]() Jingle Bells is roughly the size of a mouse. It is one of the smallest felines. It is a insectivore, but it will eat the roots of plants during times where little to no insects are around to hunt(winter). Jingle Bells are highly intelligent, they live in packs of 4-20. The planet it lives on is not made up oceans and continents, or a inland sea. The planet is made up of hundreds of thousands of lakes, ponds, swamps. Giving most of the planet tropical weather all year. But not in the region where Jingle Bells live. They live in a colder environment near the small ice covered poles. :P |

This is the creature that won the April contest, the sunstrider. I've expanded a little bit on the description. The last time I entered a contest, I entered about a dozen creatures, but I'm only going to enter a few this time.
Really. ![]() This is the sunstrider. The sunstrider is an herbivore that lives in small herds. It is sentient and uses the lobes on the tips of it's ears for communication, using them like radio antennas that receive information from other members of its race because it doesn't have a mouth with which it can form words. Thin rods that stick out from either side of the sunstrider's body help with its balance and stability, especially when it whips its bladed tail. The sunstrider lives in herds of 10-40, and is a very peaceful race. It uses it’s tail as a weapon only when defending the young or injured from predators; otherwise, when faced with danger sunstriders choose to flee, quickly outdistancing any threat.

Ok, this creature I made after April, so it has never been entered in a contest. I have one more creature after this that I would like to post, but I'll post it a little later.
![]() Cherrics are relatively small, peaceable creatures that live high on mountain slopes. They are rather shy, and weigh around 10-20 pounds. Cherrics have long claws that are good for gripping vegetation, and are excellent for digging. They excavate shallow burrows in the mountain slopes, which they sleep and raise young in. When threatened, the orb on the tail of a cherric glows brightly, a defence mechanism that serves to confuse a predator, and to attract it’s attention away from the cherric’s head. Though they make their homes in a warm area, in the higher altitudes of the mountains it stays cool most of the time, and cherrics are well equipped to deal with cold temperatures, supporting a thick coat of soft fur. They retreat to their burrows to cool off if the weather becomes too warm.
