Ok, firstly hi to everyone at xSpore. Im new but i saw this competition and got to work. Yes i know the creature isnt coloured but im not THAT good with photoshop stuff so use your imagination.



A Garradon:
Garradons are relatively short in height, but are bulky, muscular creatures. They are found lurking on the forest floor where their dark green, scaley armour protects them from predators. They are usually quite shy, solitary animals but if aggrivated, will charge at the enemy and attack using their pincer like mouth and spines along their back. Garradons are carnivorous creatures and will seek out smaller creatures for food, unless they are hunting in a pack. Due to their armoured body and spiney back, Garradons rarely set up a burrow. They are known to dig a small hole and sleep where they want.

I disagree, it is well drawn and fairly original, I will admit the basic shape may have been thought of once or twice, but this really isnt much like anything else, I like it, good work, and welcome to the community!

I have to admit the 3D one looks more like a robot than a creature but it's still Uber cool !
I wish i could be arsed to learn 3D.

Have you been in my nightmares ?
Im sure i had a horrible dream once, about something that wasnt far off what Kisscrab looks like. Apart from the fact that the spike was bigger and was gauging peoples guts out and there was blood spraying everywhere...

Finally had a few minutes to draw out my idea.
This creature is not actually a virsu, but is pretty similar. The main difference (apart from appearance and size) is that instead of the host being a living organism, the hosts are planets. Because these creatures are extremofiles and can thrive in cold temperatures they can travel through space unaided. Like a virus they can go dormant for many years and reawaken when they land on a new plant.
The two top arms are graspers, while the lower two are a sword like spike apendage and a smaller simpler grasper, more like a beetle would have on its head. Its "ears" are used for filter feeding as well as sensing minute air vibrations. It has no real sense of smell or taste, but its "ears" can detect smells on a very basic level.
It origonates from a very small, cold planet with an incredibly dense atmosphere composed of many fungus and spore-producing creatures. On planets with low gravity they can use their back fins to glide, like a manta ray would through the water.
Their diets are mainly composed of things in the air (spores, dust etc), but when they are active they require larger game. Aside from filter feeding they are carnivorous.
Because of the way tey travel, they are almost always alone, or accompanied by a brood of children (they reproduce asexually through spores).
