Good job!

Background information:
I decided to use the structure of cells for my design. In the structure of the cells I incorporated various screens from the game (the phases of evolution are in order from the bottom left to the top right). I also went along with the theme of planets being similar to spores in many convenient fashions: they are a similar shape and both are vessels that carry life as they travel through space and time (or the atmosphere). I thought it was humbling to relate two drastically differently sized objects and yet put them on the same level.
Also, the idea that life emerged from a simple cellular organism to create cities and travel through space. That is another theme covered. Also on a smaller note, the division of the cells in the middle of the picture that overlaps the planet, can also be seen as life's unwillingness to "keep still." Life expands and evolves. Thus, there is no reason to suspect life will stay on its home planet forever if it has anything to do with it. Instead it will leave...(like a cell divides)...and colonize a new world...(like the result of cellular division). Anyways, lots of parallels are in here.
Hope you enjoy it!
PS: I have several resolutions available besides 1024x768 for those of you who may be interested. Since I made this file initially a larger resolution (1600x1200)--in order to get the best quality and allow for these different resolutions--I made other resolutions from that. PM me if you want.
