Forgot where i read this, but the LHC may produce an explosion (if something goes wrong) that can reach 200 miles in radius (yeah, even into the crust). If that happens, though, we are much more boned than we would be if a Black Hole was created. (Less mass on the planet, shifting orbits, collision, sky blocked out, firey hot debris, etc, etc)

A little better than the entire universe getting sucked into another dimension or something=D
