The Species of Elimia are still few, but some evolution has already occurred and a few species are now in danger!

Micro Lumos

Ancestor of: None
Diet: Light to produce own nutrients
Reproduction: Asexual

The very first photosynthetic being to develop in the waters of Elimia, it has photosynthetic receptors on the top of it's head, it "swims" near the surface to gather more light. It has no bone structure, being simply a complex mass of muscles, skin tissue and one internal organ with an orifice to the exterior from which he filters oxygen from water.
They are now endangered by the new and mighty Necro Spectrums, who eat Micro Lumos, and are having a hard time competing with their photosynthetic brethren, particularly the much fast and larger Neon Geists.

They reproduce by gathering enough nutrients to feed the almost parasitic sporoids that eventually grow into small Micro Lumos of their own and kill the original Micro Lumos, they then develop sporoids of themselfs, so they are doomed to produce nutrients so they can eventually breed, since birth, thus their critical situation, with the excessive competition and being the only prey species on the planet, they might be doomed from start.

Neon Spectrum

Reproduction: Sexual

The very second photosynthetic being to develop in the waters of Elimia, it has photosynthetic receptors on it's "head" that also serve as eyes, it requires to swim near the surface, yet it is much larger then it's competitor the Micro Lumos, though the Neon Spectrum is considerably slower and takes more time to breed.

They are under heavy competition from their recent decedents (Neon Geist), who reach the areas where the light shines brightest during daytime, faster then them, yet they have managed to survive well.

Their reproductive habit consist of fusing their breathing system with their reproductive system for a short while, while the male Neon Spectrum may die of asphyxiation during this process the female is safe since she merely filters both oxygen and sperm, from the water entering her one gill, into her system, the male floods his gill with sperm and releases it unto the water
