It kinda gives Spore the feel of 5 seperate games that can also transition smoothly to make 1 epic game, along with having several creative tools to publish my imagination.
I feel that doing this will help Spore's replay value a lot without taking away anything, or adding somthing pointless. plus i think it will draw in more players because it will give everyone what they are looking for right out of the box, and more players = more content, which is good for everyone.
At this point, if Spore is only $50, I'd call it the greatest deal since The Orange Box! Hell id pay $100 for Spore on its release at this point, and i wont even tell you how much i would pay to play it now!!

Personaly i reckon its stupid being able to "Jump Phase" in Spore coz what is the. There is not much sense of being able to jump phase because Spore is about going through all the stages of evolution, if you jump phase then you just skip so many stages. Also being able to get into the creature editor at any point in the game is pretty stupid to coz if you just get a couple of DNA points obviously your just gonna go straight to the creature editor just to get a part, say if i was in the cellular phase, its really tough for me because there are huge guys swimming around me, so all im gonna do is collect some DNA and go to the creature editor straight away to get a better weapon, instead of collecting a specific ammount to get into the editor or watever.
