How about we have a daily "Community" news piece? And I don't even care if it was a lame day where nothing notable happen, a daily news piece regardless of significance..

Letting all of our other members know what's up with our forum would have several advantages...

1. Makes the general xspore visitor traffic more informed about our forums.
2. Will interest / "make curious" these visitors in our community, thus gaining more members.
3. Something "new" to look forward to every day on the front page, an element of surprise if you will.
4. Makes our site *more updated*. Activity is activity, and in both the eyes of the search engines (google etc) and visitors, that's a good thing. It lets them know we're alive and kickin.

With all these benefits, I don't see why we shouldn't...

Now let's say for example it's a boring day where nothing great happens... Well that'd be a boring news piece right? Well for the amount of "blah / boring" content there is to report on, then you substitute that amount for something comedic, and structure it around a theme. I actually just came up with an idea I think would be great around that.. And it *could* actually be something that is posted with the community news every day.. Here's the idea, take a celebrity, or somebody famous in history (basically, anybody that most people know) - get a little thumbnail of their picture, and next to their picture, provide a "quote" from them, which would obviously be something *we* make up and it'd be in relation to spore and their thoughts on it.. I think it could be really funny

Anyhow, I'm probably going to do it - what do you guys think?
