I have a few names cooking up there, mostly using other languages combining words like a lot of people.

Zeitkinder for one, it's a combination of the German words for "time" and "children". I think I'd use it for either my first species -- since they would have been around before any others and it would make sense of the name -- or a more sophisticated peaceful species, as the name reminds me of the Time Lords from Doctor Who. The Doctor himself is fairly peaceful and tries to protect people. Oh, and if anyone is thinking it, yes I know The Doctor's species wasn't Time Lord, he's a Gallifreyan. Time Lord is just sort of an "occupation". Though some people would argue that, I distinctly remember that not all Gallifreyans were Time Lord/Ladies.
Sorry for the tangent. I can't seem to make my brain stop doing it, and I can never bring myself to delete my tangents. OCD and all I guess.

I also have many designs cooking up in my head, though most of them are for unintelligent creatures I plan to create to inhabit my planets. I think when I get around to actually playing through the first time I'll try not to plan too far ahead, though I know any subsequent playthroughs I'll end up planning,
